Did V.J. King sign with UL today?

I wondered too. Little brothel fans were all giddy that he stuck through the "worst" of it so I would expect to see a loi.

they're becoming concerned over on the bird scout board. evidently it was announced that he was to sign today in a ceremony at his hs but as yet there is no news of his signing.

found out he signed a minute after i posted

If he did sign, that is just an unbelievably bad decision and whomever is advising him should be ashamed. In no way am I saying he shouldn't go to Louisville simply because I am a UK fan or because of the sleaziness of the program (although you would think that would scare players away). I am saying that under the circumstances it makes zero sense for him to actually "sign" (assuming he signed a LOI as opposed to scholarship papers). It rarely makes sense for any top recruit to sign an actual LOI that only benefits the school, but it especially makes no sense to do so when the school you are signing with is under a dark cloud of possible sanctions.

Bingo...

Who are the folks advising this kid? He's likely going to have a Blakshear-type career at Louisville, and now he's heading there despite whore-juice-gate?

Whoever is advising this kid is nuts. When the Antichrist is fired he will get an exemption from the NCAA and end up elsewhere in my opinion.

They are under investigation right. now. Why would anyone sign an LOI given the current climate there?

He's tied to one of the current assistants. If that assistant stays on under the new coach he'll probably stick around.

Either way history has shown the LOI is meaningless in the event of a coaching change or NCAA penalties.

Every time we hear about a program trying to hold a kid to an LOI they end up backing off under media pressure.

They must have given V.J. code name "the full platter" on his recruiting visit.

Regardless if he can get out of his loi, still a dumb move. Teams move on and scholarship s are used, may end up having to settle for a crap team again.
