Did anyone catch the Wichita St/Loyola game today on ESPNU?

The Shockers won but the color commentator, Mark Adams was slobbering all over WSU like they were the San Antonio Spurs. He was worse than DickieV/Duke. He was screaming at the top of his lungs that the Shockers were the best road team in the country since 2010-2011 and Fred Van Vleet was unanimous First Team All American. He interviewed Gregg Marshall and Van Vleet afterwards and I swear you would have thought he was a Shocker fan wanting their autographs. It was almost embarrassing to listen to such blatant homerism from a supposed neutral announcer.

I don't watch HS teams play.

WSU is a one and done in the tourney this year, book it.

ESPN must have several more WSU games booked already... they're all in, so they gotta do something to pump the future ratings.

They will be in our bracket as a 4 or 5 seed (if they keep winning, which they probably will in that cupcake conference) or somehow an 8/9 seed if they drop some.

That's fine, they do not scare me at all this year. Then again, after our last two games, perhaps we should fear everyone..

That guy made the game nearly unwatchable. I had no dog in the fight so didn't really care who he cheered for but the wqy he screamed and would repeat his praise over and over again. "they have won 21 conference games in row! That's the best record in this conference since 1966!" Imagine that screamed so loud your speakers rattle, and repeated 4-5 times. He had 3 or 4 little tidbits like that and would cycle through them. It's not just that he was biased, he was awful at his job.

Oh yeah... I'd love to have them in our bracket!

If the Cats do happen to go into the Tourney unbeaten... you can bet the farm the NCAA will want the (last year-this year) "Now, it's WSU's turn to derail History" storyline in the mix.

Yep... it'll be IU ('76 team was the last to go an entire season unbeaten) in the 1 v 8/9 game and WSU in the 1 v 4 game. I'm also anticipating seeing 'Cuse (great 2-3 zone) somewhere along the way.
