He looks so much more mature, physically and mentally.
He is finally getting a shot to actually play, not just in mop up duty.
He's gotten a lot better and worked hard as well. A lot of Willis's issue was always mental effort and lack of self-motivation.The right guys were playing over him the last two seasons. Like Kaminsky at Wisconsin, someone can really get better as they get older (extreme example but still).

I'm not really that surprised that Willis is balling out. He is getting his shot as an upperclassman, and he's delivering like how it used to play out pre OAD. There aren't 5 lottery picks in front of him this year.

Willis has always had potential to be a baller. Just needed time on the court and get settled in that's all. He was a 4**** player for a reason. Not some chump

Willis played well. And that doesn't have anything to do with the fact that he hit a few shots. I mean he was involved, defending, moving his feet, pressuring the ball, getting steals and deflections, being a willing rebounder, etc. If he is going to bring that kind of effort every game, then he's going to be hard to keep off the floor.
He definitely took minutes tonight. 28 and started the 2nd half.

LOL. I was thinking the same thing. The dude's balling out right now and I think he's legit. He could give us 10 per game off the bench this year IMO. Just a different player this year bruh.
