I would love to see DA teaching these guys how to go from defense to offense in two seconds. The other team has the ball and two seconds later you're scoring. I really miss that. Even under Tubby that existed some.

That's the exact thought I had, when I saw the tweet. DA knows basketball, he's charismatic, and relates well to kids.Would be perfect to bring in similar to what he did with Strickland. Get him around the program and then work him into a coaching position.
even worse.Does he have a background in coaching and where at?
I'm all for new assistants but I advise caution when dealing with former players, they are hard to get rid of if they don't pan out. Ask Tubby about Reggie...
A lot of you need to catch up with the latest too. Barbee hasn't been an assistant coach since before the season started. He gave it up to allow Lucas to join the staff and now he's an associate to the head coach.
Kind of happy Mitch isn’t in charge of hiring assistants.Dude has been begging for a job for years. And if you guys think Mitch would hire him, you're crazy.
good lord i hope that’s not the case. we need a boost and his positivity is infectious. Not enough of a yes man to suit Cal . Might rock the boat .
DA loves uk so he probably posted so the fans could see it.I find this really odd. Is he trying to put public pressure on Cal? Just trying to make a statement about UK knowing that what he's saying won't come about?
Can't say as I've ever seen/heard of someone looking for/campaigning for a coaching position like this (although I imagine some have). Most of these type things are back channel. Just weird.
Wasn't there some scuttlebutt about DA being mixed up in a few things more on the shady side?

Drug dealing?
Yea, that is validI find this really odd. Is he trying to put public pressure on Cal? Just trying to make a statement about UK knowing that what he's saying won't come about?

Are you Steve ?He should be the first guy Dwane Casey brings onto his staff
i thought that at first. i’d guess it’s more a timing thing like “daddies here and he’s going to help make it better”. whatever the intent or feeling it’s definitely very opportunistic and that can be taken many ways.So many odd things about that tweet. The “NOW” part. The campaigning for a job on social media. Whole thing seems weird.
It is weird to me. I sure liked Derek Anderson but if all we are looking for in an assistant coach is being a former UK player, there are other former players that should be considered. Maybe one that doesnt go on face book to get attention but, instead pursues a meaningful conversation with the ones that make the decision.DA loves uk so he probably posted so the fans could see it.
