UK has got to get a handle on this. One way or the other. Higgins should absolutely be banned from calling any UK games and there's plenty of evidence and justification to do so. You start there. Unfortunately our AD is spineless and a hatchet man for the establishment. I mean, the NCAA screwed him while looking dead at him this year. He's worthless.

The fact is, Higgins COULD be directly responsible for several UK titles or final fours. That's inexcusable. And it's always UK getting the shaft from Higgins.

Cal has a terrible percentage in everything with him on the court. It's totally against the percentages. Why?

No one needs to shut up about this. And Matt Jones can pick up a lot of fans if he takes this national and creates a dialogue about UK and the NCAA in general.

Not just talking this game, but Higgins has reffed some of our most heart-wrenching losses; we're now something like 1-3 in NCAA games with him on the crew in Cal's tenure. Cal has lost six NCAA games at UK. This can't be a coincidence. This ref personally dislikes Calipari or Kentucky it seems.

And what about the no call on the travel that Maye committed just seconds before hitting the "game winning shot" ? It was a clear travel and right in front of a ref who looked like he was about to call the travel but decided not to at the last second. Maye didn't even dribble the ball once before he took a hop step back. He just caught the ball and then hop stepped back..that's a travel.

And if UK didn't get completely crapped on in the first half, UK probably wins by 4 or 5 points..at least.

Such BS that the refs aren't held accountable. Can't interview them after the game. Coach can't comment on their competency. Once in a blue moon the NCAA gives a mea culpa when the refs screw up, well big deal the damage is done. Politicians and political leaders get questioned about things much more important than a college basketball game. But heavens no, can't ever question a refs integrity or opinions.

I'm there. Was already a waning BB fan that only pays attention in March. Can't see much sense in that anymore when you see the selection committee playing favors with some schools while continually burying UK in their respective bracket every year. Even the year they were the #1 #1 seed, they got screwed. Now, with the officiating I saw in the first half last night (which wouldn't have been so obvious if not in complete contrast to the way the previous 3 E8 games had been called), I'm having trouble convincing myself to chase a car the NCAA, obviously, will never allow us to catch.

This kind of thinking always cracks me up. We have good players so we must be cheating. It's pretty clear UNC "writes checks" by actually writing checks for cars and fake diplomas. If we hung on to guys like Brandon Knight, Devon Booker, and D. Fox for 3-4 years, I'd agree more with your take that we are cheating. How does a school get the likes of Harrison Barnes, James Mcadoo, and Justin Jackson to hang around for 3-4 years in an era where they could go make millions after 1-2? And if you say "because they love the university" you're full of s***.

I'll give you one thing though... both our fan bases will be holding their breath waiting on a punishment from the NCAA. Only difference is one school has opposing fans who keep saying "You're cheating. We just know it." and that's all they have... And the other has enough evidence against them to warrant the death penalty twice.

I love it when people say there is no way refs are crooked. Are you serious? Betting on college and pro sports is big business and there is no way Vegas is going to take huge hits. I said when UK made it to the Final Four undefeated and Vegas odds makers stood to lose millions that they would dangle money in front of refs to blow a call here and there to cost them the game and Higgins along with his crew did it.

UNC fans may say well the fouls were even so it was evenly called. If memory serves me correct when I looked at the boxscore in the first half 7 of our 9 fouls were on starters and 4 of their 8 was on starters and no UNC player had 2 so they would have to sit. So if you look at the stats the fouls was 8-9 but 3 of our starters Bam, Monk and Fox were on the bench and theirs were on the floor. Not to mention the no calls and calls that don't show on the stat sheet like the bogus goaltending calls, walks, etc.
