First of all I never use the term NIL. No one is being paid for their name. It’s a complete farce.
People all around the program are talking about our lack of leadership and culture shift. While I blame the coaches most for that, could money have played a big part??
It’s crazy how the guys we threw cash at did absolutely nothing.
BVG was probably the highest paid and was a complete bust.
Walker was probably second. He played the first three games and quit. Didn’t hear his name called the second half of the season.
Brown was probably third. I always thought he was a team cancer from the moment I saw him dancing and playing tag/games at open practice. Never got any better than his freshman year.
Chip was probably next. Hurt and too slow to ever have been an SEC back.
That’s roughly our top 5 paid guys supplying jack squat.
I know even Bama is struggling to keep guys motivated that have full pockets. We have been the worst at it.
