It’s just hard to accept that a guy would flush his legacy down the toilet like he is.
He had it rolling for many years, then I think he got in over his head when the game changed. Seemd like he just gave up, but is too addicted to the power he has to just quit.
The other odd thing is, he’s doing all this for the players, well, the players don’t need his help for one thing and on top of that, so many of them have shafted him by sitting out, dragging out decisions and milking injuries to hide hurt feelings, or draft stock and Cal is left to deal with it in front of the microphones.
Heck, Derrick Rose left Memphis high and dry, Cal told him not to worry about it, but the school paid the price. Players are not supposed to be bigger than the program, but that's not the case with Cal in charge and that needs to stop.
