CCC couldn't help himself! He has found...

Hilarious seeing people talk about this team has changed when they are playing the exact same way. Lolol

The only reason we have less 3 point attempts is because the players our fans don't want attempting them are not shooting them.

Penn is stall balling it too. Hate that coward ball.

No, we aren’t. We are playing with two guys (Mitchell and Bradshaw) on the block and it’s killing our flow on offense. If you can’t see we are playing differently I can’t help you
When we’re they on the block at the same time? Are we watching the same game?

I think they want to play inside out but Penn hitting them with a zone and out interior players are making every decision about 1-2 seconds too late. This is more about what Penn is doing rather than what Kentucky is doing. Welch should be earning his money at halftime.
Nobody around here understands what you just said. The other team has no say in what goes on to the people on this board

Here’s the reality:

Playing the other style wasn’t showcasing Edwards and Wagner’s strengths and their draft stock was sliding as a result. The style that’s best for the team was emphasizing Shep, RD, Reeves, Mitchell’s skillsets and spreading the floor.

So what do we do?? We re-emphasize and adjust the offense back to downhill, force paint touches, get to the rim offense bc in that style, the guys that are best at that are Edwards and Wagner.

It emphasizes their skill set while hiding their weakness.

Cal cares more about the success of the individual and their future than the success of the team as a whole for a singular season.

Cal, the person, has good intentions and cares about the kids. Cal, the coach, is no longer fit to lead a high level college program if his #1 priority isn’t winning at the highest level and doing what’s best for the program. He should go coach a non blueblood program if he wants to do that..a place that will appreciate being ranked 20-25 and S16s with the occasional final 4 (maybe once a decade)

That's a special take..
Do you know what the first move on offense has been all year? Driving, downhill take to the basket. Every single time. That's what opens up outside shooting.

It’s the correct take.

The first move, yes. But we have emphasized ball movement and ahead minimized the “weave” that we’ve reverted back to.

We have cut our 3pt attempts in half over the last 2 games.

Midrange has increased.

Post ups have increased.

We have ran more circle O / “dribble drive”the last 2 games which is 1on1 heavy and drive kick drive kick. That’s bc the 2 guys that style compliments are the 2 guys that “need to get going” and were projected to be our best players. Wagner and Edwards have became the focal of the offense again when you play that way. They weren’t for the first 7 games.

Edwards and Wagner aren’t scrubs. They’re very good players. That’s not a knock on them bc all players have strengths and weaknesses. Downhill drives/one on one/physical are their strengths. We have enough talent on this team that we can still be very good this season playing that way. But that’s why the offense and style of play “looks different” the past 2 games.

I’d you don’t understand intricacies of basketball beyond ball watching then you won’t see it. You’re a notorious Cal defender so it’s your default to defend. But that’s the reality. He is doing what’s best for Wagner and Edwards to “get them more involved” and play to their strengths bc he believes that’s what is best for the team long run and it’s what’s best for the individuals.

We posted up every game this season every trip down the floor. Mitchell has been awful of late and our defense can't stop a fly
