If you were betting your house, would you give the points (21.5) and take UK?

I'd take UK to cover that.

Albany is a good team though. Made the tournament last season and returns almost everyone.

But I think we'll win by 25-30

I would take UK and give the points. I'm not a gambler, so giving up my home would never be in play. I have kids and a wife. If I lost the house I would lose the wife Probubly and the kids follow. But I could get away with some cash.

I would take the 21.5 points.
Too many unknowns and nagging injuries.
Also there is a pretty good chance UK could be covering and Cal put in subs to get a look at them against D-1 competition and end up not covering.
That said I have gambled all my life and although I haven't kept a running total I am pretty certain I have lost over my lifetime.

If I were betting my house, I'd pick Albany to cover that. As mentioned above, too many unknowns with Kentucky. Need a bigger sample size than two exhibition games and practice reports to get a feel for how good this team is.

This is my take. I would take the points. I love UK with all my heart, but if I'm betting, I go with my head. I predicted a 28 point win, but no way would I put money on this one and give 21.5. Too early, subs, veteran opponent, the Rupp superhero-effect on one player from the other side, etc.

Yeah, first game of the season. Lights are brighter, team is still adjusting, slightly hobbled, UAlbany will probably make the tournament again this year. I wouldn't be surprised with a 8-12 pt win. This could be a lot closer than some think. In March? 25-30pt win. But not now.

That is a really hard call to make. Cal will almost certainly be tinkering with the line-up tonight as well as playing with offensive and defensive sets. It could be a close game.

Normally UK covers that without a challenge and I think they probably cover anyway but with some of these nagging injuries I think I'd hold off for a surer bet later. Betonline only has UNCheat by 9-1/2 over Temple, I'd hold my nose and load up on that one

For the record...I gave 21.5 but (6 minutes in) I think I'm on the wrong side. (1 unit = $50)

Never take the over with UK. Last year they covered what, 8 or 9 games all season?
