What does he call going 8-40 from 3 and getting beat by 15 to Arizona? Alabama is a one trick pony!
Well, let’s face it. Our offense WAS archaic. And I have no problem with a coach trying to capitalize on that. I would do the same.
But I agree the dude’s a prick.
I’m all for the modern offense, pace and space, using the 3 point shooting and all that but relying way too much on the 3 like he does will kill you. Early on in their game against Clemson near the beginning of the season, they were shooting a 3 as their first shot in their possessions and missing them over and over again. If they use that approach when they play us (especially with two of our 7 footers back), we will win easily against them.
Seems all they were looking for against AZ was the 3-point shot- not sure if many on the east coast saw the game (I live in Phoenix) but they were jacking up 3s like no tomorrow
And that's fine if they're in rhythm. But, a ton of their 3s are not and are way beyond the line. They take a ton of crazy shots.
When I stopped watching late in the 1st half they were 1/16 on 3s. They had had a good lead but AZ was gradually make a comeback and tied it. Seemed it was over for Bama from then on.
Bama relies too much on the 3. From the beginning last year I said they wouldn't go too far in the tournament because of it. I don't think their strategy is conducive to success in the tournament, all it takes is going cold for a half and you've shot your way out of it. And what happened? 3-27 from 3 in their loss against SDSU.
I caught the second half of that game and their offense looked horrible. All they were doing was running around like a chicken with its head cut off and jacking up horrible 3s.

He still might be. This Board won’t have any say on who the next Coach is. As for this season I want to see KY blow out every SEC opponent and win the SEC Tourney!!!
