Cal's Comments after Illinois

They aren't robots; Illinois grew beer muscles
Odd. Beer Muscles is a term you also used repeatedly last year evertime Cal blew another game.
You were one of the biggest Cal supporters on here. My you sure changed you're tune.
Last year was the greatest shooting team in history. According to you. Now this year is. Next year at this time if a player makes 6 threes in a game you will immediately crown him the greatest shooter in UK history.
You wonder why nobody here takes you seriously. Everything that's current is the greatest off all time According to you.

He’s just got those ultra blue tinted glasses on! Always the optimist.

Basically, the same team of players at Arkansas would have been at Kentucky if Cal stayed. So, what you are seeing from Cal would have been the same for Kentucky. For those who were so upset about Cal's departure, how do you feel now?

As usual, players who play for Cal will only play worse as the season progresses because of his mental games. If he ever had it, he has certainly lost it.
And we would have 2 loses or more already if he was still here at UK. Duke for sure and 1 mid-major team would have lit us up at Rupp.

The SEC slate is pretty rough and we know some of his players are going to get hurt. It might be a little bit before Arkansas gets rid of him due his recruiting class coming in next year.

That’s how he gets you, by promises about next year and the what if’s of this year and how we were 1 player away or if he wasn’t injured! It is all smoke and mirrors by the greatest magician of all time.

If people were dumb enough to be upset at his departure they aren’t gonna see the truth now either.

I have no idea what he actually said, that’s just my best guess at what he might say after a loss, taking my 15 years of hearing his postgame drivel into account. He’s nothing if not predictable in his messaging.
It sounds very much like something he would say because he has made very similar statements in the past.

This is so freaking great. We are being proven 100% correct. He is never gonna change. The game has passed him by and now he clings to his old antiquated ways

It's almost sad to watch, almost. Still more funny right now. The dude is toast. It's all his own doing though, that's why it's more humorous than sad. Hard to have empathy for an old grouchy bastartd who is dead wrong but won't admit any faults.

He has no regerts hiring Brad I’m sure. Not even a single letter.

It’s vindication.

I assumed that Cal being at a new program would keep him on his toes trying to show the world he still had it. I assumed he wouldn't be so lazy his first season and then resort to mean after that. I thought the excitement around the new players and coach might carry Arkansas with hope the first season and that they may make some noise in the first year. Man, I don't think Cal is going to last 3 years there at this rate.

Come on now, these kids aren’t robots!!!

Remember, Cal’s teams only win or learn, and looks like the Hogs are in for a WHOLE LOT more learning!!

Boy am I glad we don’t have to put up with that CRAP anymore!!!

I’m curious to hear this as well, not that I care just wonder if there’s a group still defending him. And how many are in a boot or regular clothes that jump around like they’re at a concert but yet they’re too injured to play 🤔????
I’m friends with a sportswriter. Just said the same things that plagued Cal’s last few years at UK have carried over to Arkansas. Lack of leadership/accountability, unhappy players (Aidoo and Davis who both thought they would have larger roles), all the yes-men assistants afraid to question the emperor. Wouldn’t be surprised if he retires in the next two years.

What happened? I mean how can he have control over some of the biggest NBA talents ever thru here for so long and then it falls off the rails. I guess his old Assistants like Robic, Antigua, and Strickland really kept things in check. Is it an NIL thing now? Cal is old and soft? I bet Davis is super pissed right now and he’s playing terrible. Aidoo is hurt so why is he mad? Of course he assistants are yes men, that’s why he’s never changed them in years.

Put them in a UK uniform and it's exactly what you'd expect. I watched that game and they look rough.

Starting to feel badly for Wagner - he simply won't be a professional basketball player.
I am so thankful for Otega Oweh (and Mark Pope)!
