Cal update on bigs after game

You really don’t think Cal expected him to play if healthy? You think Cal spent time recruiting him, signing him, training him, etc. just so he could not play?

Do you realize how ridiculous this sounds?

It was one player in what, 13 years? How many first rounders played the entire season? You act like this is a common occurrence.

But hey, if you want to carry around a pitchfork, go for it. The kid and his handlers were to blame. Nobody else.
What the hell are you talking about. Cal is the coach. He could have put Sharpe in the game. He didn't. How many other none and dones are you aware of? Cal feeds us bull all the time and some of you eat it up like hes a messiah and can't do no wrong.

Nope Calipari allowed it. Nobody else.

The kid refused to play. You are right, Cal could have said, “get out there,” and the kid would have sat his ass right on the bench.

The kid refused to play. You seriously think Cal didn’t want him to play? Cal is a competitor and wants to win, probably as much as the players out there, but we have seen what parents and handlers can do and the influence they can have.

The kid was worried about getting injured and refused to play. Not on Cal, no matter how much you want it to be so you can have another reason to complain.

He could have been escorted off the bench. But that takes nerve though.

Another jumbled up roster. No bigs. No rim defenders. Rebounding could be a big problem.

Amazing how slow these young men heal according to Cal. His talking is nothing but irritation. I just don't trust him or believe what he says.
Bradshaw was injured in the McDonalds game. If he had made the choice of USC instead of UK, seriously, do you really think he is 100% right now?

Cal has zero obligation to the fans to give any sort of details, timeline, etc. Zero. If I were him, I’d be as vague as possible as well.

Why people get all bent out of shape is hilarious. Why people would want other teams to be able to game plan against us by knowing who is playing is beyond me. They will be back when they are back.

We’ve had one kid come here and not play and people act as if this is Cals fault.
Imagine that, team mgr should have cleaned his locker out.

Right. But, even assuming he's cleared, how much can he do? He's been here, what, three weeks? Sick half of that? Swollen knee as well. So, even if he CAN go, what can he actually contribute? Does Cal play him for his size and five fouls, or does the team actually function better without him, on both sides?
This is what I’m thinking. Similar to how we had a low chance facing Marquette without Bogans——but then when Tubby played a non-jumping boot-wearing Bogans so many minutes that low chance went to no chance.

Yeah bc Cal is secretly practicing guys only to surprise the opposition with a lineup. I'm more concerned about them not knowing our out of bounds plays 😆.

So Cal (a guy whos been coaching 40 years) either got played by a 19 year old and his ''handlers'' or he let him do it. Neither option is good for your hero.

Right! Exactly! I mean, SEVEN months ago?! That’s a longgggggg ass time for any kinda injury to heal. Absolutely ridiculous.
He had surgery on his foot in mid June, we're about 4 and a half months out. Foot injuries on big men have a long history of being nagging, season derailing, career derailing things. It is wise to take it slow and make sure he doesn't have a setback like Vanderbilt did. People are letting their PTSD over Sharpe make them irrational about Bradshaw. (Though, lot of people were and still are irrational about Vanderbilt who was legitimately injured. Lot of people are too proud to admit that they were wrong in bashing the kid.)

Lmao 4.5 months and it still isn’t healed? Pretty wild, man. Basically, 5 months out. It’s almost middle of November. By the time he’s able to finally practice it’ll be over 5 months. Lulz

Joel Embiid missed two entire NBA seasons trying to get his foot healed. Vanderbilt was out almost a calendar year after our season ended. Foot injuries, especially on big guys, are not a boo boo that magically heals to 100% in a short time. They're serious, career-threatening injuries.

Everyone needs to just watch this team/season for what it is exactly, just another basketball team/season. Have zero expectations, learn from the past, and find something else to enjoy in life. Made my life a whole lot easier.
