Was afraid to call a to because of freezing up Rob. Closing, we are young and he needed to get home to his dog.

Can't stand to hear the man talk anymore and all the BS excuses. Sorry. Been there done that many times. Listening to him you would think we were S. Carolina trying to scrap and crawl our way out of the bottom all while totally disregarding who we have always been and that we beat better Florida teams in the past by 10 to 15 at home. The realty is this Florida team that just beat us at home isn't going to win the SEC and may not even make the NCAA tournament. That is how far we have fallen as a program under his watch the last few years. Sad really that we still have fans who defend him.

more glaring was with our guys clearly exhausted, and our only pg cramping up, you look down inside of 2 minutes left and we have 3 timeouts. that’s literally rerarded. much less calling timeout with 8 seconds down two when the court was already spread out and our best scorer in a one on one at the top of the key.

Sell the the car John, make them pay for undercoating, vehicle transport and infrastructure management.

Did he mention getting home to his dogs again really?
Tbf I think he said earlier this week his dog wasn’t doing well. Which I’ll cut him some slack if so. Doesn’t excuse the loss however. But that one I get if his dog his nearing the end.

I went to work one day and had to put mine down the next. Still kinda beating myself up about going to work that day.

Clayton Jr is an asshole. All Cal wanted to do was go home to his wife and dogs and he has to go and hit a 3 to send it to OT.

I know that pets are like part of the family as I have one. But he should’ve stayed his ass at home if his dog is that bad off. We probably would’ve won this game had he done that.

My dog of 15.5 years died on me and my wife’s anniversary last year. Talk about a punch in the gut. Never even considered not going to work the next day, goodness.

you can save A timeout. you don’t save all your time outs for the end when you have 4-5 guys playing 40 minutes with the biggest game to date a few days away. you use them to rest your players. and there’s evidence already out there when dillingham and reid were gassed against uncw where we lost.

Just like not fouling up 3 gives you a slightly better chance of winning (it's like 94% vs. 93%) I also believe they've studied calling TOP when you have the last shot and it's better not to.

I said the same thing...he takes them home in a doggie bag...he's a joke.

Missed the point - He wishes he would have stayed home so he could have spent one last day with his dog. I get it.

If that's the case then I honestly feel bad for you. Losing a dog is absolutely worth missing a single day of work. It's work, they'll survive without you for a day unless you're one of the 0.000001% of people where the world literally depends on you showing up each day.

I loved that dog like crazy, missing work the day after he died never even crossed my mind. Like I didn’t even think about it.

I'm sorry if his dog is old/sick. I lost my dog of 16.5 years this year. IT sucks.

BUT NOBODY CARES CAL. You get paid $9 million a year to win basketball games. Even if your dog is sick, don't mention after a loss. Keep it to yourself. And this isn't the first time he has mentioned it (after the SEC Tournament loss too).

It is like he has no PR person that he listens too. He is always sticking his foot in his mouth.

He also said he was exhausted. I'm exhausted watching this team try to play defense. He coaches basketball (and makes $9 million); nobody in the crowd listening, especially those who do actually physically exhausting jobs cares.

I’m with you man. And like I said also coming from a guy who lost his dog of close to 16 years recently. It hurts.

But we really don’t give a shit about your dog right now, man. I’m sorry but we don’t.

He makes enough money to hire 2-3 head coaches to do it for him for crying out loud.

There are not many things that hurt worse than losing a dog. Especially one you've had for a long time and are close to.
My dogs are my best friends. I had two dogs die on the same day 5 years ago. 1 was old and 1 was 2 years old and died unexpectedly while just running. I still had to go to work and make a board presentation. Then drove to the vet that night to see my “boys” and cried. Cal needs to do job.

WHO believes that Cal doesnt know that references to going home to his dogs ,after a KY loss infuriates the BBN. This is just Cal being Cal,subtle sticking up his middle finger to the fan base
