Cal not screaming and yelling and micromanaging

We’ll see when the competition takes a step up, but Cal does seem like he trusts this current staff and players more than the past three years. It has the makings of his early teams, we will just have to wait and see if the results will be similar.

If our guys continue to run and move the ball he will not yell. The thing is if we get up by say 10 on Kansas, Cal will call time and out of the TO we will see Dilly or Wagner dribble for 25 seconds and then a rush shot. Trying to not lose instead of keep on keeping on.

He likes this team, coaching is easy because they listen. Then you have a high profile KY biy on the team. Jeff might not be connected to the staff but it might be an unmanageable task to keep any conflict under wraps this year versus let's say last year .

yep
even the players are saying they are doing what Cal wants, so i am guessing that he is not having to get too many points across during the game

Did anyone else notice that it looks like Mitchell has already learned our complicated out of bounds play? I had to do a double take; thought it was Toppin back.

Cal has always said his best teams are empowered and he doesn't have to coach them as much. He hasn't had that since Monk, Fox and Bam IMO. He is going to have that this year.

He was screaming during the game last night. I heard him several times across the gym up high in section 231. Not sure what he was saying, but it was loud.

He can yell and scream all he wants, but it's nonsense during the game and clearly hasn't worked anytime lately.
no doubt we have had some players lately that would make any coach pull his hair out or scream
how many times have our fans been watching a game and scream "why did he do that"
of course you may be different and have little to no emotion during a game

in sink more.
nsync

it was great seeing players do what they are taught in practice and not having to be told all game long to correct the same mistakes

Was great to see him act like a normal human being on the sidelines last night instead of Sgt Carter, lol.
