Butler update

I am old enough to remember when that was used.
I’m in my early 30s and used it growing up…but I’m from Eky w old mountain grandparents.

Reality is, it’s backed by science to an extent. Soaking in vinegar is proven to help soreness and inflammation…the brown paper bag is just to use the pieces to make a wet soft cast to silt in in place w an ace bandage overnight so you aren’t submerged. (Also helps application by wrapping shoulders/knees etc for places you can’t soak in a bucket. Crazy how the old timers knew stuff like that without really “knowing” it…just through observation and generational pass down

But you could prob just sit with your foot in a bucket an hour once or twice a day a get some benefits

A guy like Butler, powerful and fast, puts tremendous pressure on his body. And, he needs to get as close as possible to 100% to do what he does. So, lighten up, Francis's, he just needs time to get back as close to game speed as possible before he gets back out there. He's fine.

Don’t start. This is a new breed of Wildcat.
Agreed. You're missing the point I was making. The college landscape has been different for awhile now. Anyone old enough knows that back then guys would have played through many of the injuries you see nowadays unless that injury was serious. I wasn't really talking about Pope or OUR guys, these kids want to be here. Talking in general, the futures of athletes are taken much more into account than the playing through injuries that used to happen, or coming back from injuries sooner.

It’s also worth noting that this is our biggest rivalry game of the year and it’s at RUPP!!! If I’m Lamont, I’m itching and clawing to play in this one! No way in hell I’m sitting this one out!
In fairness to Lamont, he has no skin in this rivalry and Louisville has done a very poor job of making it a competetive rivalry the last 15 years.
I want LB to play, but I wouldn't blame him if he didn't view UL like most UK fans do.

Assuming it isn't worse than we are hearing, we are at least lucky it happened when it did. We got by Gonzaga without him, and hiccups aside, Colgate as well. We can probably beat Loserville without him, but we need him for SEC play. If this happens a few weeks after it did, we would be in bad shape.

Butler will probably be out again today. Could play but wouldn’t be 100%. No need to rush him back IMO. Butler has a great mentality, kid will be successful in life.

Franklin, we don't need him at 100% to be better than the debacle we had at point against Colgate. After watching our struggles against Colgate, a Boys and Girls Club coach would include some form of the press against us to totally disrupt our offense. The lack of a point is going to eventually catch up to us and this of all games would hurt the most.

U can GTFO then!!!!! lol
Probably depends on where you grew up in KY somewhat or who those around you hated.

I don't hate UL nearly as bad as many here. Growing up in Eastern KY, it's UT I really hated. Also hated IU more than UL, but it's hard to keep that up the way they have sucked for so long.

How long have you been a fan or better yet, how old are you?
I'm 51, been a fan since 87.

But that has notjing to do with it. I'm around UofL fans all the time and ehile they will brag about this years win in Kroger field, why would I hold my head in shame? We own them in both sports.

We are the bluest of blue bloods, why should we be concerned with a dirty ass commuter school that can't stay out of trouble?

Every year there are those that want to downplay this rivalry. It’s odd to me. Reminds me of SmokeyPearl/WindyCatz lol. There’s a video of former players that just came out telling you this is not just another game. They lived it. Do you not believe them?

This is a huge rivalry. It's one that UK has dominated for my adult life at 15 and 5 record so the little brother moniker has rung true.

The fact that you spend a lot of time around UofL fans might have something to do with why you feel as you do. However, I have a respectful dislike for them, meaning I don't see the need for nasty verbal attacks.

I love beating them, but I don't hate them. This is all about good clean competition for me. It isn't that serious.

Well, I don't spend that much time around them, most of my correspondence is online and the forum version of UL fan menrality screams little brother syndrome.
It's cool if some of us want to treat it like they're our equal, or good enough, but my opinion is that they are simply not good enough to be considered a rival.
Don't get me wrong, I want to rub their faces in the dirt, but that's my mentality with every opponent I play.
Go-fish with the grandkids, is a bloodbath, there's no mercy and I will cheat if I have to.

I saw some plastic Cardinal bird decorations last night at Walmart, and thought the artists have really lost it.

If you are at all close to Jefferson county, today is the game you don’t want to lose. Can’t stand those cheering, dirty birds.

There’s not a team or fanbase out there that gives Kentucky the vitriol Louisville does. They hate us with every fiber of their being. Today, we hurt their little feelings.
