Bronny James

The Lakers will obviously draft him with that worthless 2nd round pick which will probably somewhere between 45 and 50.

The goal is get Bronny and LeBron to play together for a season before LBJ retires.

Then Bronny will last another season or two on an inflated first contract, before getting bounced out of the NBA due to lack of skill.

And what is the purpose of all of this? Just to say "we did it."?

Father-son bonding.

For most of us, it's the equivalent of taking our sons on a camping or fishing trip or playing on a church league basketball team together. For LeBron, it's the same type of experience, only heightened 100x fold. Why? Because he's LeBron and he can get away with it.

I certainly wish the kid the best as far as his health issues are concerned. As far as his basketball career I put him in the same
Category as his dad , really could care less . As granddad used to say I wouldn’t give fifty cents to see him eat a bail of hay !

I don't think anyone here wishes him ill health. Few of us are NBA fans, so we're not going to slobber all over him just because he's the Drama King's boy.
He's objectively a top 30 recruit who nearly lost his career due to a heart issue at age 18/19. It'd be covered heavily regardless of who his dad is.

If it was ADs, bookers, KATs, kid we'd all want coverage too. Just like we're getting with Reed currently

I don't see any problem with the coverage of this but it shouldn't last too long. But it will because of his Dad. I can't stand LeBron, but I hope Bronny doesn't suffer any setbacks. Man, too many young athletes with heart issues anymore.

I would 100% pay 50 cents to watch anyone eat a bail of hay, that sounds like it'd be an impressive feat and cheap entertainment

False. His dad is definitely adding to his hype. And, save the sob story about him nearly losing his career due to a heart issue. It doesn't belong in the equation. It's sad obviously that he has heart issues. There are countless reasons why someone might lose a basketball career.

You're projecting your hate for his dad onto the kid, got it. Take a deep breath man it's gonna be ok.

semi related...when did the ncaa start allowing non 0-5 #s on jerseys? they haven't allowed any # between 6-9 on a jersey since the 50s

his # on the roster is 6

Not if it took you all day of hard labor to make that 50 cents, you wouldn't spend it on anything frivolous.

That was the case for almost everyone in that generation. Depression era reality for most, including my Dad, God rest his soul.

He used to say he wouldn't give a NICKLE to see a pi$$ ant eat a bail of hay.

And he wouldn't.

If he breathes, there will be headlines, just like they're hyping this IST championship as some major accomplishment for his daddy. Even though AD dominated the final game

I'm really glad the young man appears to be OK. Obviously if his father wasn't LBJ this wouldn't be getting nearly the attention it has.
