Matt Jones was wondering if Brock was done with football. You guys likely knew but I did not that Brock played almost all year with an injure throwing shoulder that limited him. The concussion he suffered at the Tennessee game was definitely worse than I knew.

Begs the question why played a QB with an injured throwing arm? AND did no one anywhere at any time work with the backups?

It is an easy answer a hurt Brock is better than his backups. Tells you a lot about the quality of the backups.

Maybe that's why he didn't live up to expectations. And, was he hurt in preseason? If so, evidently Wimsatt was not good enough to unseat a QB with an injured throwing shoulder. Yet, we ran him out there, anyway.

If this is accurate, I'd be willing to welcome him to stay, if fully healthy, and see what a 100% BV can do. Perhaps I and a lot of posters were too quick to condemn him when he physically was not able to be at his best.

If the staff continued to run him out there knowing he was diminished, another data point of how they mismanaged the entire season.

Brock was too tough for his own good. He tried to be country will Levis but lacked Levis' massive size.

I don't think he was hurt preseason. We saw him throw the ball great early. I think he got hurt the first game. Kept lowering his shoulder and those dbs kept lighting him up. After that, stoops mentioned shoulder soreness and he appeared on the injury report.

One thing that needs to be said to Brock. Thanks! We know you gave it your all - and that's all as fans we could ask! Hope you have a great life Brock and continue to take advantage of the talents God gave you and the upbringing your family has provided you with!

Go Big Blue!

You could tell his arm was gone when he couldn’t get the ball down field on those go routes later in the season. Nines says it happened at UT. Coach Stoops has a cloud over his head concerning keeping QB’s healthy. And when his get hurt, it is usually for the rest of a season or a career!!! Sad

Wish him the best.

Those were reps Boley could have had
Especially the early OOC games that we were almost 100% sure we'd win. If BV got banged up in Game #1, the staff should have known that the likelihood of him recovering fully and not having any additional injury problems was probably nil. At that point, preserving Boley's RS year should have been a non-issue. We may have preserved an extra year of eligibility at Boley's NEXT school rather than getting him additional reps early in the year so he'd be more prepared when we needed him against TX and UofL. Again, a failure on the staff's part to manage the season properly.
