Brian Cashman

I didn't. Saw them in the seats when the game started and figured they were just there because it's in New York. Chris Carter is there also, isn't he a big Cal guy?

This is like heaven for me. I’m a huge Yankees fan and of course I love my Cats! I’ve known for the last decade about Cashman. Surprised so many didn’t. Can Judge and Stanton play hoops? Lol!

I did not know that about Cashman either. Man, what a deal they made today. As a Reds fan I am glad the deal with the Cardinals did not go through, I did not want to see Stanton abuse their pitching staff 18 x a year.

I always wonder how many brother combos played different pro sports. Chris in the NFL and Butch in the NBA.

Had no idea.....As a Cardinals fan, I may even pull for the Yankees some....................hmmm, no

But kudos to Cashman

When he was a boy in Lexington, Ky., Brian Cashman never had visions of becoming the Yankees’ general manager. He was not from the Bronx. He was being raised in bluegrass country, where basketball is king and children daydream of playing for the University of Kentucky.

Well, this is curious. It looks like some posters already knew this about Cashman, and some posters did not.

Very interesting. My mind always wonder when watching games at Rupp, cameras panning the crowd in the bottom rows behind the bench, who are these people and how much money do they have to get to sit there?

Include me as one who’s bummed that Stanton didn’t want to play for the Cardinals - the greatest fans in all of MLB.

But yeah, that was pretty cool to learn that Cashman is a UK fan.

Cashman's brother still lives in the area. He's the Superintendent at Canewood Golf Course in Georgetown.

HIs brother Rob is here in town and his Father ran a horse farm here in town. It was through horse racing that Mr. Cashman and George Steinbrenner had a relationship.
