I think Cal’s Bravado and talking trash like “ UK Eats First” and “ We Are The Gold Standard” has really come back to haunt him. I think in the mind of official who call the games and are human that it has affected us not always getting a fair whistle.
Yesterday and the NCAA game against North Carolina are perfect examples. Cal has got to learn to be more humble and be a more gentle version of himself with the fans, the players, the media and his boss Mitch Barnhart.
No one likes a pompous egomaniac and that’s what Cal is. Please enough with talking down to the fans and coddling players to the detriment of BBN. BBN is what UK is all about. Please Cal enough with the players come first to the point of lying and bull shitting the UK fan base.

Coach Cal just announced that effective immediately that UK basketball will no longer be referred to as the GOLD STANDARD of college basketball. To more reflect the recent play of UK basketball under Coach Cal for the last 3 years and Cal’s 58 % winning percentage Cal has announced immediately going forward that UK basketball will be referred to as the COPPER standard.
This is not to reflect on the play of our players, who play hard and try to give it their all, but Cal’s horrific coaching over the last 5 minutes of the game and coach Cal’s abominable substation patterns.
