Last night he played well, going back home and having family there helped, but with all that he could have been the cause of us almost losing that game, the game is official not over even after the horn until the officials leave the court, and he put the officials in an awkward situation, Shows maybe wanted to give him a tech and the other two voted against it, but with different officials we probably would be on the losing end. I know emotions were high, but learn to control them and win with class, even after that he was still mouthing off, can't control the other team, but we are Kentucky.

Seems some teams he really shines against and other teams he really struggles against.

Spaz Garrison.

He's still a kid

He's alright.. Love his fire, wish more had his intensity.

He just runs into problems when he's ASKED to do too much or TRIES to do too much.
His son was in attendance, so he has to set a example even at his age

He's just immature. You can tell because he'll make a great play and psych himself up and then the very next trip down he'll do something boneheaded. But clearly he has a lot of potential if he can ever get his emotions under control. He was a net positive tonight but still had some lapses. OU was talking so much ish all night, glad we had some guys who would throw it back a bit, gotta keep it silent at the end and not give the refs even an inkling to call a T after the clock is 0:00.

Garrison was a big reason we won. With both Amari and garrison they go hot and cold, I am expecting a turn over or bad shot just about every time I see ether one of them get an idea in their head to make a Hollywood move, dribble or make a special basketball play. But then Amair will put together three good plays and garrison did too tonight.

I'm also thinking maybe our defensive toughness tweak can be to play them both at the same time.

Agree. The talent is obviously there. He needs maturity and better focus, especially on the defensive end. If he stays next year he could be a major contributor with an offseason of work.

He just has to grow up - if he got T’d there and to be honest I thought he was that would have put the Humpries ball slam to shame
It’s only a matter of time when his emotions get us a bad tech
I’m sure the Coaches have already spoken to him about it but he just can’t control himself

woulda’ coulda, shoulda is a waste of time. we won, thats the bottom line. UK, if it gets everyone back at full strength is a good team and thats all you can ask for in Mark Popes first season.

Yeah the more I look at the play he is lucky. He could have easily talked trash on the way to the Kentucky bench .

But you can’t just run up in Fears face like that . With the bs that happens to us with refs I guess we lucked out last night .

Shows was just hoping for some time left on the clock when he started woofing. I will always remember this game for that. He literally tried to steal the game after it was over.

But hey the referees are bad both ways. That's what some people say.

So the fan base that adored Cousins is down on this kid popping off AFTER he sees the clock is 0.0 ???
cut him some slack on this one folks.
Dude, you get away with more when you're more talented. And Cousins was INFINITELY better than Garrison will ever be. If they call that technical (and they easily could've), and the Cats go on to lose, Garrison should've had to turn in his uniform that night. He's pulled borderline bitch behavior stuff all season. He's extremely immature.

All these kids are gonna make mistakes but what is maddening is the lack of help defense and blocking out. If he could just clean that up, he has potential to be a huge contributor.

The game is not over until officials leave the floor

Zeroes on the clock have nothing to do with it. That's just another sign of Garrison's ignorance and immaturity. The officials govern play of the game until they are off the court. Letter of the law, they could've easily called it.

I thought sure the ref's were going to call a "T" at the end of the game. He just needs to control his emotions. Good thing Williams got a hold on him and pushed him away.

You're telling me teams don't start talking crap after the game? You just want it called on us. What about 2000 Vanderbilt students rushing the court that's 2,000 technical fouls and 4,000 free throws.

Where did I ever say that? They do. But what they DON'T do, is go up and yap directly in a player's face like Garrison did. Damned near 100% of the time that gets a technical in the regular course of a game.

Where do you come up with I "want it called on us"?

Fans aren't players.

It's obvious you're pretty emotional about this and insinuating a lot of stuff in my post. Some facts. Garrison played well and saved our tail. Garrison is ridiculously immature in actions and play (not a coincidence). The referees, had they called the technical, would've been completely warranted to do so. Had that happened and the OU player made both FTs, all the good that Garrison did would've been wiped away by some stupid immature decision to go yap directly in a players face (which, btw, doesn't happen nearly as frequently as some have said).

Go Cards.

To Hell.

I noticed early on he had some Magloire in him, which can be good and bad. He's needs to keep the good and loose the bad, maturity, experience will be the key here imo.

Sure thing Karen.
I've been watching basketball over 50 years and I've never seen a team awarded a technical foul after the clock hit zero. So why don't you show me a game where this has happened? Usa versus Soviet Union 1972 didn't even do that.

Also, it's hilarious that you call me. Karen, when you're the one upset over the actions of a player.
