"Like I said, some guys are pros already," Self said abruptly when prompted to discuss the recent recruiting successes at Duke and Kentucky.

"Listen," he said. "We're in good shape with some guys out there, too."

When asked if Kansas was still recruiting a back-up option to De'Aaron Fox - who the radio hosts could not mention by name per NCAA rules - Self hinted that their initial assessment about who Kansas might land had been correct.

Earlier in the program, the radio hosts had discussed the possibility of Kansas adding coveted four star guard De'Alvin Chipmunk to the roster for next season. Self said, "We've got the next best thing lined up. He's a real warrior when it comes to gathering nuts and berries for the winter. The other plus is that he actually fits on my head and makes a somewhat decent toupee."

He said the same thing and I posted about it before. He is telling recruits that they font have to go to Duke or UK to be pros.

Cal or K should defend themselves, I know our one and find players improve over their time here. It's a knock tto out programs. We are doing nothing for these players.

For instance Towns, Cal made him toughen up and play the post. Overtook Okafor for #1

Kinda like Fox to Kansas?

Fox was never coming to Kansas. I don't remember see where many Kansas fans thought he was. There will lot more playing minutes at Kentucky at the point next season for Fox than he would have at Kansas next season. Kansas is recruiting 2017 point guards. My guess is that Kansas will pull in one combo guard or a transfer guard in the 2016 class. And for the record, Monk or Chipmonk is NOT that guard either. I think Monk will be part of the 2016 Kentucky Recruiting Class.

LMAO ... right, because of Frank Mason and some dude named Devonte Graham. He won't get as much playing time here (at Kansas) because we have these other two dudes on our roster who aren't good enough to be pros.

You Kansas fans are a treat.

That isn't what I said. Mason and Graham will be on the Kansas roster next season. Murray will NOT be on the Kentucky roster. He will be a lottery pick next year. Ulis may not be on the Kentucky roster. He may be drafted. There will be more available time at the point for Kentucky. Not an insult.

Yeah, and I'm still laughing at you for thinking second rate players like Frank Mason or Devonte Graham could keep a talent like Fox off the floor. When I said "here" I wasn't talking about Kentucky. I was mocking Kansas fan logic that Devinte Graham is some kind of stud. Dude is average and he's not keeping future lotto picks off the floor.

Will you still think Kansas has second rate players if we win on January 30th?

Good luck on the 30th. You guys have a decent team, a pretty good coach, and a damn good home court atmosphere. You might beat us. I don't think you will, but you could. Doesn't change the way I feel about Frank Mason or Devonte Graham.

Fair enough. Just curious.

De'Alvin really isn't that good. We all know he's just giving him a scholly because D'Theodore is gonna be the #1 recruit in a couple years.

Is D'Theodore on par with Frank Mason? I'm drafting only Kansas alum for my future NBA d-league fantasy team and I want to keep a spot open for Mason and either Ellis or this prospect you mentioned.

Even if you guys win, will it ever compensate for the shame and embarrassment that was last season's massacre?

The list of names stand out in U.S. history of one-sided slaughter-fests:

Battle of Little Big Horn
Pickett's Charge
Bunker Hill
Last Season's Massacre in Indianapolis

Even George Custer, in all his historical shame and devoted failures upon the Great Plains, was watching from afar, face-palming.
