Presented their board with 400 page ‘program Bible’ on how he’d structure it, how and who he’d staff with and the role of a sitting NFL GM or asst GM he’d hire to oversee recruiting, NIL and quality control. Had all bases covered, as you can imagine

I believe I saw somewhere that Bellychick's overall coaching record without Tom Brady is 70-93, and I'm pretty sure Tom Brady isn't walking through that door.

This makes 0 logical sense for coach or UNC.

UNC likes to hire dinosaurs of late though.

He has kids older than her. Dirtbag.
Doesn’t matter. If I’m 65+ and there’s a 25 yr old that’d roll with me I’m game . There’s also ‘grandkids ‘ in play, so I’d never get it right with public opinion of some . Why isn’t she partly to blame chasing the money and lifestyle? Apparently, her last boyfriend was wealthy and older as well

Apparently he thinks NIL should be treated like an NFL cap and one person overseeing all of it , etc
It should be. These are pro orgs now. I don’t know that it’s the right person or staff but Stanford is on the right path by hiring Andrew luck as a gm and the coach will report to the gm, just like pros. Not the ‘gm’ reporting to the coach.

I can't imagine Belichick recruiting. That would be hilarious.

Belichick needs 15 wins to be the all-time winningest NFL coach ever. That could be done in two years and there will be teams like the Cowboys, Bears, Raiders and Giants looking for a coach.

Rich old men and young, hot gold diggers have been a thing since the dawn of money and wealth.

If I'm 65 and single one day I'd go for it too. I'm not rich though so that limits ones options lol.

Didn’t Stoops put Eddie Gran in that role?

It's transactional. Girl gets money and lavish lifestyle. He gets sex.

That's been a thing forever as there's no shortage of young women when it comes to wealthy men.

Hey, you think she is dating him because of his good looks? If I were wealthy I would have a GF in her 20's too. Dirtbag, lol, what does that make her?

Wait let me get this straight. I can be ugly and extremely rich and I could get a hot girlfriend? Can this even be proven to work? Seems far fetched.

Supposedly. The difference in stanford and pro model is that the coach reports to and is hired by the gm/ownership. Not the ‘gm’ working for the coach. Which is the stoops thing and some other schools.

He’s proven that he can recruit college kids.

He not going to be doing any of the heavy lifting on the recruiting front … part of the deal is that he will have a coaching staff and the acquisition of players whether it is HS Recruiting will be handled by his UNC NFL Style Front Office … plus UNC will now have one of the biggest pots for NIL in the country …. They will go from having $4 Million per season to over $20 Million per season

From Pro Football Talk
Bill Belichick is getting the gang back together again.

First up, Michael Lombardi. The NFL personnel executive turned media personality will join Belichick at North Carolina as the General Manager of the program. Most recently, Lombardi worked for VSiN.

He worked for multiple NFL teams from 1984 through 2007. After an initial media stint, he became G.M. of the Browns in 2013.

From 2014 through 2016, he was an assistant to the coaching staff in New England. He then returned to media work.

Unlike Belichick, Lombardi has college experience. He was the recruiting coordinator at UNLV from 1981 through 1984.
