Reds been playing good baseball, I like the roster for basketball that we have now with the addition of Mitchell. Glad I can enjoy a good cold beer at football games. Good start for the summer, IMO!

The rest of the summer I will probably gripe about 3 things. The heat. The humidity. Not getting enough time out on the golf course. Anything the Reds do is just an added bonus because I thought we were going to be looking at them losing 100 games again.

Amen. Not only will our offense be explosive and exciting again, but we’re already signing dudes (Boley) just because of Coen. Hope the dude retires here!! After we win the SEC and a natty, of course!!!
The beer should ease the pain of watching another overrated team going 6-6 and losing to Vandy.

I have total faith that my fellow posters on Rupp Rafters will continuously find something to gripe about. It’s been fairly consistent for the last 20 years, and I don’t expect it to change.
On paper I suppose things look fine. However, some of us know not to count chickens that haven’t hatched.
It also seems that filling out an elite roster each year is becoming more and more of a scramble for our coach.
Are those gripes? Or observations?

They went 7 and 5 last year not 6 and 6. I'm sure they will beat vandy but as for total wins, who knows. Stoops is good for a bowl appearance and perhaps the occasional 9 win regular season. For UKs pitiful history that's pretty good.
The next most likely point of irritation will probably be difficulty accessing, or total lack of, TV broadcast availability for the games in Canada. To my knowledge this is still a bit of a mystery.
Well I still don't have power and I got the generator hooked up to keep freezer good. Looks like I sleep outside with the dog on the porch swing tonight which is where I usually am anyways... this is the second time in 6 months the weather got so extreme I had to use generator to save my food. but yeah things look alittle better with some players now on roster.

I do agree that considering our football history Stoops has been a huge upgrade
Nothing has changed other than expectations for our bb program have been lowered. Barney is a lead weight he has seriously hampered the success of UK basketball. The fact the guy is still around is extremely troubling and uk bb will not be making anymore title runs as long as Barney is Cals motivator. No dont try to come a polish a turd or put lipstick on this pig. We were torched in the portal, retained virtually nada and will have a team full of freshman in an era where experience wins youth goes home. I need to see a massive turnaround before I’ll stop bitching. Too many years of losing has taken a toll and turned out program into a second tier sec program. Add to this we have to listen to cal blab for another season about being young and ending up a crap seed because we can’t win early. No this is the clear definition of insanity any fan who is falling for this again good luck
Yeah well the last 20 years have been nothing to brag about. 1 title, 3 tournament misses, Bcg, losing season. Uk fans who grew up with greatness expect more. Why the hell would it change? We are in worse shape today than 20 years ago and that is a dubious feat cal pulled off. Like I said until we win another title or get rid of the two clowns running the AD and the bb program I will continue to complain. Cal found a last second recruit. He lucked out bc there is nada else. And the man is already looking ahead to next June to see who he can get to the league. lol you guys nothing has changed.

4 titles in the last 65 years.
Aw, man, sorry to hear that. That kind of puts any gripes about UK in perspective.

I feel ya, things seem to looking up. There are still plenty of old things to bring up to complain about, 9-16, Sharpe, losing the majority of the roster, striking out early in transfer portal, Cal gaining weight and to some Cal losing weight. I’m sure something will come up shortly. 😉
I'm actually good I got a fan atleast but I am a Country Boy a couple of nights off the grid don't send me into manic and panic. Nothing on tv so who the hell needs electric. It's music season and outside til bedtime. I working the garden by headband light while it feels good out.

I'm hoping the sportsbook thing gets taken care of before college football season starts August 30. My idea is to limit myself to 30 bucks for college and if I can't turn that into profit for my Sunday bets I have to sit out. Gotta win to play so turn 30 bucks into a profit sounds realistic.

The Shaedon Sharpe fiasco is enough to give every rational member of BBN pause about Bradshaw's status. That Calipari will not only take such players, but also support their decisions, is enough to turn the next two to three months into a time where our fans will be wondering if Bradshaw will even play.
I'm tired of that type of crap. Calipari needs to step it up for the program's sake and make sure Aaron is on the court for this upcoming season.

Probably the results of the games that take place next month in Canada. Hopefully we don’t embarrass ourselves and the US.
I hope Calipari goes small and experiments with guys like Thiero and Edwards at the 4. Without Bradshaw, we're going to need some creativity.
