Barnhart finally embracing NIL?

MB just thinks we will be competitive. These other AD’s / Schools / Boosters will always be two steps ahead. I’m pretty confident they are already looking how to stay ahead of the status quo.
You mean like TN putting a $10 "performance" tax on each ticket sold next year? Must be tough for them having to decide between football and meth.

He doesn't have a choice does he? That waa the settlement or ruling and this is how its now mandated. It isnt like hes out in front on something.
Stoops told us about a week ago that UK's now well positioned re NIL thanks in large part to Eddie Gran being installed as General Manager. While MB may not be out front there's no indication UK's bringing up the rear. Now.....is all that true or is it BS, coach-speak? I have no clue and neither does anybody here, we'll just have to wait to see how it unfolds.

Just who shares in the profits and from what or were do the profits come? Because unless NIL comes from equally divibed⁶funds the other SEC schools are already looking at ways to cheat. A&M. BAMA UT LSU and OU and Texas will outspend the rest of the SEC combined if no restrictions are not put in place.

It is required that the schools pay out profit sharing with athletes moving forward. So a part of the school’s athletics revenue goes out to athletes. It is not the NIL/collective thing.

He told us in the opportunity zone
/ zoning committee of 101’s
Zoom call, he couldn’t worry about paying former players or current players,…when we don’t even have a border.

So the vibe i got from my cousins ex wife’s stepsisters son’s sweethearts supervisor setting in her supervisors stead
, seems certain something’s suspicious, so Sunday’s supposedly suspense surprise statement status stated speaking suddenly skipped sixteen seasons so Sutton slipped some stupid stoled stuff sold several switched SAT scores supposedly six sites SAT scores sited security screeners so safe spaces stay safe………. State Supervisors selected site/s Stated somewhere stateside so suppliers stop selling spiked sodas surrounding sidewalk , streets & social services staffs stations.

This.^^^^

MB is trying to convince us dumb fans that CMS can get the program turned around. Because, he can't/won't do the right thing and move on from CMS, BUT, MB has to have FB money to fund almost the entire athletic department.

Need to put together a whole department dedicated to NIL fundraising and management for all sports. Take that crap off the coaches backs and let them coach.

So NIL is going away? So every SEC school will receive the same amount of funds from profit sharing from the individual sports TV contracts. Unless you have no Yankee rich with Oakland poor in the same league it won’t work.

The original agreed upon settlement was going to take away the bs nil stuff with collectives that are really just pay for play and they were going to establish a committee to evaluate the legitimacy of NIL deals above a certain threshold of money. Like some kid getting 2k wouldn’t have had to deal with it but kids getting 100k would. But the agents, advisors and parties that now make money off the kids making money sabre rattled enough to get it back into revising the settlement to where it isn’t going away. I frankly haven’t looked at the revisions to see if they were able to get any stipulations in there that could try to make it any more legitimate than its current version. But now the players can receive from both avenues of money. They get paid as the schools labor and they have NIL they can get. The question is whether NIL will become any more legitimate or not.

Update: the new settlement still requires review of NIL deals of third party actors like boosters, etc. but allows NIL deals directly with schools that is in addition to profit sharing monies. So that avenue is the one that will allow a school to pay player A more than player B if it wants I presume. Otherwise players would all be paid same proportionately in profit share I believe.
