The wording is a bit misleading. A summer league spot is a very different thing than “joining the Cleveland Cavaliers.” Most of these sort of summer league signees never actually make the team.

But, hey, it gives him a shot. Hope he takes advantage of it.

The Cavs have
- Collin Sexton at guard
- Darius Garland at guard
- Caris Levert at guard
- Drafted Obaji from Kansas who is a guard/wing man

He's not making the NBA...he's just filling out a summer league roster. He'll be overseas if he's going to make money playing basketball.
