Not sure, let me call the NCAA and find out who Saint K set up for tonight.
I think everyone is expecting a ton of fouls on both sides, although I would wager certain players (those who rely on forced contact and driving, those who are smart enough to adapt on D) will do better than others.
BTW... Does anyone really believe that the NCAA refs are out to punish one school and help another? I mean... doesn't everyone complain about K constantly harassing the refs? Wouldn't they want to then get back at him? It doesn't make logical sense to me that he would be so terrible to them and then they would help him out. But maybe today isn't the day to talk sense...

The better programs get the calls by and large, like the top players in the NBA. I'm sure UK gets a better whistle than Purdue. Add to that K's reputation as the face of college basketball and the bastion of honor, and you get calls that make You Tube for their absurdity. Also, refs get intimidated. K learned from Knight who got away with even more than K does.
I do agree, in a way, that better programs get the calls, but I think that is because they have better PLAYERS. Guys who are more athletic, or who have a quicker first step, or who have quicker feet, or who have a higher bball IQ, will traditionally force their opponent to foul, or will avoid fouling, more often. I think that the talent doesn't get the credit it sometimes deserves for forcing or avoiding fouls.
I don't think the refs have some idea that K is some wonderful saint, to be honest. They aren't random fans who eat up message board chatter. They are, in effect, co-workers, who work with these coaches day in and day out. I don't think they are intimidated, either... I know a lot of refs, and they tend to be pretty secure guys
Then why all of the youtube vids of the hilariously bad calls going Duke's way? They let Duke push off with a forearm every game I could handle watching last year. Why did the refs allow that? Hey don't come on this board and try to use that fancy logic or rational thinking stuff. We ancient astronaut theorists, I mean referee conspiracy theorist, will not tolerate such. The fix is always in against UK, and It's so obvious you must be blind not to see it. We don't need to watch the games. Just tell us the name of the referees - preferably the nicknames developed by years of intense study into the bias level of each - and we will tell you what type of miracle will be necessary for UK to win despite the chicanery.
Im betting right now. Officiating won't even be equal on our own team. Officials will call weak stuff to put Lee and Briscoe on the line but let a lot more go when Duke gives contact to Murray, Skal and Ulis.

If a cheating, gambling ref happens in the NBA, where they are unionized and report to a boss, why wouldn't it happen with these college ref free agents?

The fact that we know this much about the refs is not a good sign. They should be invisible.

EXACTLY.... You know what the crooked NBA ref got paid is chicken feed compared to what Coach K pays.
Sirmons called a T on Cal two years ago and nobody ever got a reason why. We are 1-4 in our last 5 with Ayers. UK averaged 25.6 fouls in those 5 games

They fouled out Lee and Skal but the Duke guards were water. Refs can't do it all.
They tried to foul all of our big men out. They just about did. Alex had 4 fouls. Lee and Skal fouled out. Skal was on the bench with 12 mins to go in the first half. Hate on Hater.
