That is some absolutely wild recognition for Reed.
Did anyone think that there was ANY possibility that Reed Sheppard would be considered (even if just for this moment) as a top 12 player in college basketball by December of freshman year? I think you’d be lying if you say yes.

The Duke dude should have gone last year. Anyone remember where he was projected? I thought top 5? No way he’s drafted there IMO. Decent college player, kind of getting exposed this year.
I thought Reed would be a good player but not in the top 12 in Katz picks. Just hope they all play great today.
He really took a chance by coming back. He'll still be a 1st rounder, but there's a lot of chances for injury and Duke is getting exposed lately. If they suck, it will limit his game.
You gotta strike while the iron is hot. I hate it, but Reed should take this as an example. NIL cash and "becoming a legend in the state of Kentucky" is great, but it can't touch NBA first round money.
