I know we're winning. I know it seems early to start "sounding alarms". But look at the facts : "In Kentucky's last five games, Ulis has gone 11-for-28 from the field, while producing 26 assists and just four turnovers (zero in the last three games).
During the same stretch, Harrison has gone 9-for-35 from the field with 27 assists and 15 turnovers."
That assist to turnover ratio can not go overlooked.
Realistically, at any other school I'm pretty sure Ullis gets the load of the work. I know this is Kentucky. I know this isn't "any other school", but we're striving for excellence and 26:4 vs. 27:15 combined with a significantly higher shooting percentage, not to mention a probably added defensive benefit with Ullis' pesky on ball ability is something no one can deny. (I know Andrew's length also shouldn't be over looked)
26 assist to 4 turnovers! That's the definition of GUARDING THE POINT.
Ullis looks like a true-point. I'm STILL skeptical of Andrew as a true point, and his record isn't showing he's a great scorer.
Sure, Andrew has tourney experience, size and a blood-counter part on the floor that the bond of can't be denied. But Ullis is a winner, he's fighting his tail off and doesn't look like he's concerned about anything other than the win (which is what you want).
I really don't expect Cal to make a change (at least not any time soon). Maybe it's better to keep Ullis coming off the bench so he has the benefit of a chip on his shoulder.
IMO our best lineup: Ullis, Aaron H., Booker, Karl, Willie
Ok... So we're pretty deep
