Alcohol sales at stadiums & arenas - Will UK be last?

“Moral” high ground i suppose. Same reason our state can’t keep roads up, pay state employees livable wages, pay for education, or provide promised pensions.

Alcohol is bad and marijuana is the devil!

I'm not sure I want to be around some of you guys while intoxicated in a public place. I hope Mitch waits until either Cal turns it around or he is replaced.

I don’t get it. If alcohol is that important to some of you then go to a bar or drink at home while you watch on the tv. If being a live game while being drunk is that important to you than just wait until the Cats are playing an away game at an arena that serves alcohol.

If you want Mitch to change this policy you have to vote with your dollar. You can keep complaining that they don’t serve alcohol, but until they see ticket sales drop (and associate said sales drop with their refusal to serve alcohol) they aren’t going to change it as long as Mitch is in charge. That much is clear.

This isn’t an issue for me, I’ve been sober for over half a decade. But if it were this big of an issue for me then I wouldn’t continue to give the people irritating me my money and I would encourage other like minded friends and family to do the same.

If this abomination is ever approved for Rupp, please let Bud Lite get an exclusive contract. Justice!!!

The REAL reason recruits don't come here, isn't cause of practice facilities.. it's cause they can't have a nice cold brewski after the game is done.

I don't know if you're religious but I believe we are called to be kind to one another, we don't live very long. Why judge others you don't even know or who live lives you don't agree with? You're better than this. Let people be and if they want to be sponsored by a beer company then why not let them be?

I read today that Texas A&M approved sales of alcohol beginning this season. I believe UK will be one of the last two schools in the SEC to approve it (along with Georgia). Just like sports gambling we are always a few steps behind. Thoughts?
They will beat BYU! That’s about it.

LOL!!! I think that’s exactly what is happening. Everyone is letting Buddy Beer do their own thing. Without their customers. Happy? I was just suggesting a potential market for them.

UK is last in most things these days ... makes sense.

Good. My group brings everything we need to drink for the tailgates and I can always sneak in a one or two to the game. Much cheaper than buying overpriced drinks at the game.

I couldn’t care less either way. I personally don’t need alcohol to enjoy myself, but understand that some do.
I think what troubles people is the fact that the fans in the club seats can have booze while the “hoi polloi” fans can’t. Maybe that will change soon.

Doesn’t matter what they approve. Alcohol is readily available at all UK games now.

It would be nice to enjoy a cold one from your seat though.
