Agents Refusing to Let Prospects Workout for Celtics; Kings

Obviously it's for different reasons. Basically...

The Celtics are too good, have too many good players and likely have the #1 pick. We don't want our guy going there and getting buried.

The Kings are too bad, have the most dysfunctional organization in sports and we don't want our guy going there period.

I bet if the Lakers were in the same position as the Celtics, agents would be beating down their door to get their guy in a Lakers uniform.

They were very complimentary of the Celtics. Saying their coach, GM and organization is one of, if not the best in the NBA. They just don't want their guy (probably coming from the PG agents) going there with Bradley, Thomas, Smart and Rozier there already.

I am terrified that Fox or Monk will end up in Sacramento. Boston doesn't seem interested in either of them. Ainge has made it pretty clear that he will take Fultz at #1. I still don't think he sees Isaiah Thomas as the team's long term starting PG. Bradley has developed as a SG. Smart and Rozier are strictly going to be bench guys. Brad has played 3 guard lineups plenty of times including in the playoffs. So I don't know why the PG agents are shying away from Boston.

Sacramento is David Stern's lasting legacy in Seattle. Could've been a totally different franchise if he would've let the owners sell to who they wanted to sell to.

Instead he holds on to a grudge against politicians that are no longer in position and the Kings are still a joke. Maybe more so now than before.

When David Stern was head of the NBA, the Kings were one of the best teams and one of the coolest teams. Those teams should have won a championship but robbed.

Stern was commissioner for 30 years.

The Kings had one pretty good 4-5 year run during that time span.

They were way down again before he left.

Even with their terrible early 1st round picks they did grab some diamonds in the rough deeper in the draft like Hassan Whiteside and Isaiah Thomas.

But being the Kings they either failed to develop them or gave up on them too soon.
