Mark Pope runs about as friendly a shooter system as I have seen. Nobody standing around dribbling, crisp passing, the ball always moving, finding the open man, unselfish play...
It was a pure pleasure to watch.

So long as the NBA continues to favor offense and game scores that near 150.. Pope being our coach will always be a good thing for drawing recruiting interest. As opposed to a guy like Tony Bennett who prefers defense.

You want to play in the NBA? Well you need to be able to be able to hit 3's and if you're a big man, at least be serviceable from the 3. You need to be able to score, and you need to be a basketball player first, and an athlete second (Look at guys like FVV, Harden, even Reed). And right now, schools like Uconn with Hurley and UK with Pope (seemingly, at least) are the places to go to hone this craft.

I was thinking the same thing as I watched the game. Any kid with common sense after watching UK play this year with all the 3's going up should say " Kentucky is for me ".
