Take a look at what the NCAA claim are their priorities and what they're about. Integrity, academics, fairness.

They showed some teeth to UL, not enough for Porntino IMHO.

UNCheat deserves a much stricter punishment considering the length of time this occurred. It goes against everything the NCAA claim they're about.

This is your opinion, evidently because the penalties aren't what you wanted. The NCAA is an organization founded and managed by its own member schools, including UK. The NCAA can't just drop the hammer on a member school because fans of another school want them to. The NCAA does not have subpoena power, and cannot compel civilians or professional athletes to testify. Katina Powell voluntarily cooperated with the NCAA at her own peril, and may be sued now by UL and/or Pitino. The only reason the NCAA can compel its member schools to cooperate is because member schools must fear that failure to cooperate would be construed as lack of institutional control (in itself, that is sufficient cause for the full range of possible sanctions). Given these circumstances, plus the fact that UL managed its side of this case through very expensive attorneys who know what they are doing, these punishments against UL are severe.

As long as they strip (no pun intended) a title from those 2 cesspools I'm fine w the punishment. Would I like it to be worse, yea but it's not likely . Losing a title is going to be painful, can't imagine how I'd feel if we had one vacated .
