A win is a win but…

What were the best players that was on the bench? Robinson that was hurt coming in and re-injures his wrist? Butler that was hurt coming in and Pope was being careful with him until he fouled out? Oweh balled out and the Cats won on the road against a quality opponent.
Not just a quality team but a desperate for a win team at home.

More fun for the critics to whine than enjoy the win. But you are correct

Butler fouled out and Jaxson Robinson got injured. We maxed out their minutes.

Oweh played 32 minutes and Brea played 35. Perry and Chandler played minutes out of shear necessity, basically.

Garrison played a few minutes that would have otherwise went to Carr or Almonor at the 4.

IMO he sat Carr to much. He took him out in when he started to play good.

I agree with this but at the end Pope had Garrison and Williams in the game. With Garrison playing so well tonight, he took minutes away from Carr tonight. And in my opinion, if Carr was in at the end. UK may have lost. Garrison had a huge block the last play.

Your best five is not your best five if they are on the bench. Screw the analytics and put the best players on the floor and let them play.
Now how can you put your best 5 on the court when a couple are hurt, one fouled out, your post really doesn't make sense. Plus, one game Williams is a world beater two games later Garrison is playing out of his head.

All respect given the fact is this isn't a really good defensive team and it's highly unlikely it will become one in a week or two. It can play spots of good defense, and we as the base have to hope those are in the RIGHT spots.

Have no issue who was in at the end, since thats who we had. However.....i still have major issues with his mass substitutions that end up playing awful combos for extended minutes. It bites us every game.

Also chandler shouldn't be playing unless absolute necessity. He had one good game but every other game he completely kills us with awful turnovers and matador defense. That end of half layup he let his man drive the entire length of the floor in 1.5 seconds for an uncontested layup. Just awful.

I like how you say screw the analytics and play the best 5 players, when the best 5 players are determined by analytics.

He's right. No clue why some of you fans watch the game, see the nonsense subbing, then we win and act like nothing we just saw matters.
With Robinson injured and Butler on the bench having fouled out, if you look at the way the game went and was played, our best five last night were on the court at the end of the game. Neither Carr nor Almonor were able to guard the OK athletes. Pope did what he could with Perry and Chandler doing offense/defense substitutions as Chandler is the better defender of the 2. Overall, the lineup in the game at the end was who should have been playing based on the circumstances of last night.
