Sunshine pumper is the most asinine phrase ever, BTW, and it's particularly ridiculous when referring to a coach who now has 28 NCAA tournament wins this decade. A coach who, coming into this season, had records of 32-6 (Elite 8), 27-9, and 38-1 (Final Four) in the three years prior. Even if this year had ended poorly, the incredibly short memory and complete lack of perspective you show are wildly out of place.
I'm not resurrecting these threads but I am reading them and noting that the same names appear over and over. All I'm going to say is that even infants learn from experience. Since 2011 and 2014 taught some of you nothing I hope the SEC Championship and (still ongoing) respectable tournament run in 2018 will do the trick.
My question is when are people going to learn that we have one of the very best coaches in the world sitting on our bench? It's okay to debate, but to jump off a bridge every time there is trouble is silly. What he does with new rosters every year is amazing. How many teams have made runs like he has during his time here? Other teams have early exits about once every three years but we seem to forget about those because they run through their conference every year.
You act like there is some moral equivalency between people who genuinely wish well for the program, support and believe in the players, err on the side of being optimistic, are patient with occasional setbacks and back the coach on one side and those who constantly complain, act like chicken littles at every downturn, always predict the worst and irrationally attack the best coach in the game on the other. There's no legitimate divide. There are the well-balanced, rational fans on one side and the bitter, entitled, negative nut cases on the other.

Someone who is truly concerned about a fan base being divided doesn’t start off a post calling other fans pathetic. Or use an idiotic term like “pumper” as a means to dismiss the opinions of a large portion of the fan base.
And none of what was said in this post originally was correct at the time. It was just as inaccurate then as it is now. Hindsight merely sheds additional light on the fact that many of those posts were irrational overreactions driven by a sense of entitlement.

I have enjoyed the You Tube series "Behind the Big Blue Madness" because it shows me we have a coaching staff that is focused on the big picture and winning. So my eyes are looking forward to one thing. Beat Kansas State. Then prepare for the next opponent. What fans said or may have said in the past doesn't matter anymore. I have been one of little faith as a fan and learned from it so that is water under a washed out bridge. Let's win another game and move on.

Sometimes I'm convinced there is a segment of our fan-base whose only joy in life is to sling insults and derogatory remarks at and about somebody. It is as if these particular people cannot enjoy good times, they appear to live for other people's misery more than their own success which of course isn't "their" success to start with. They are intent on being divisive even in the best of times.
