44 to 9 Bench Points

Completely demolished tonight.
2 starters injured and OUT, backup PG OUT, PF that was a STUD at the first of the year has his back go out and now is playing through it with not near the SKILL he had. Heck, Chandler was even wearing a back brace when the team came into the arena before the game!!

The 2 Kentucky kids needed to be practice players and only enter games when they were OVER.

Add all of that together and you have what happened tonight.

We have been DECIMATED by injuries.

In the short amount of time he had, Pope did a good job building this roster. I don’t recall us having so many impactful injuries in one season. Things are going to get a lot better. Main thing is we all gotta remember this was a rebuilding year and we’ve had absolutely horrible luck.
Agree.
I have no problem with the roster he built under the circumstances.
We just need upgrades going forward.

Taking out Andrew Carr our team went 28% from the floor and 22% from 3.

Our last 42 minutes of the SEC tournament we were a -39….-39

Can’t really complain about whatever seed/draw we get after that.

if you’re looking for issues, this will be the easiest game of the year to pull stats from.
This is a game you ignore the final score and the box score and just go with what your eyes tell you as you watched the game.
We were at a physical talent deficit at about every position and only recruiting will fix that.

The challenges for Pope here at UK are glaring and pretty simple to see. Can he win some key recruiting battles for elite talent that are Freshman and top portal players? Can he coach a team to play a physical brand of basketball, especially on the defensive end? Can he prove that he can get players to the next level? Can he win in the NCAA tournament?
