2nd Exhibition Pre-Game Presser (Antigua)

Love that logo on his pull-over. That's sweet. Wonder if Nike has some throwbacks in order with that logo on it? Please!

Let the assistant coaches that will just talk about our basketball team and players do all the shows. All that time hearing a bunch of bull we don't care about, we could get a lot more info of what is going on with the players and team.

Calipari as Head Coach is just giving his assistants exposure and air time. And yea, sometimes its because the "Boss" has other more important things to do. So you delegate.

Seems most here think Calipari is always failing and shirking his responsibilities. Should he be fired? Or perhaps beaten? Do you think if he gets beaten publicly, or at the very least gets a pay cut of maybe a couple million he would learn his lesson? He obviously doesn't even care about UK fans. Doesn't everyone agree... assistant coaches should never speak, shouldn't be allowed to address the press, especially given the importance of exhibition games as critical as this coming one? I mean seriously, if ever there were a time to accept the responsibility and importance of a high level competition as this one on Thursday, now is clearly that moment. Cal is just flipping the bird at UK fans at this point. What's next, seriously? I wouldn't be surprised if he allows assistants to speak to players during games. He doesn't even give a damn anymore! Is death too good at this point for him? Someone needs to make sense of the blatant disregard for decorum! Maybe someone else can help me out.

I know you were being sarcastic, but, the day Cal leaves I am going to celebrate like never before. Cal is about Cal and the NBA, UK is the tool thT he uses to push his agenda. UK has lost alot of records and credibility under Cal.

I get the sarcasm and realize it's a non important exhibition game press conference, but clearly something has changed. Cal started doing a significant amount less of his media obligations starting in the last year or so. Why do we think that is? He used to do pretty much all of them. And shouldn't he be required to do the majority?

Seriously? Cal has let his assistants handle press conferences in certain scenarios for most if not all of his time here. Many of you are just so hellbent on finding fault with anything he does that you’ve forgotten or willfully pushed aside so you can get your rage on.

Love listing to the press conference by Orlando or any of them just wish we could hear the question being asked.

Now that really would be helpful. Agreed. Instead, you end up trying to figure out what the question was after the fact based on the answer.

To any who read my post above... I have to apologize for my sarcasm. Sometimes I think we make a mountain of a molehill. It kind of irritated me. :D

Certain scenarios is different than not doing most of them anymore. Something has clearly changed.

when they asked him about big Z, Coach O didn't have much to say. Maybe they're just wanting to keep it quiet until he's cleared, but didn't sound like he's a guy they're expecting to come in and change things considerably

Yeah that was really the only thing that stood out to me in the interview. I couldn't tell if O was kind of laughing about Z's conditioning or the ongoing eligibility saga. But, he was kind of laughing/chuckling in response to a question about him.

As far as Cal doing the presser, there was zero chance that was happening after Tucker’s article came out. Because the first question by any media member would be asking Cal if he has any comment on the article and/or if any of it is true.
