2025 Football Schedule has dropped….

It’s like all the players on the poster are trying to hide.

Guess they couldn’t put any “real” players on poster because they don’t know who will be here.

Would have been interesting for one of those non conference games to have been Tulane 😀.

I’m intrigued by Texas coming here. Maybe that combined with visiting teams of Florida, tenn, ole Miss, coming here this year will be enough to sell some tickets, even if we are expected to get thumped?

Call me when we’re 2 and 10. I say we win first two, lose next 10.

Schedule structure decent in terms of byes. Toughest teams being spread out. I like not having 3 cupcakes in a row to start the season.

Would like to see one of the big boys switched with one of the MACs. Take that dub and breather switch it out with Texas, Dawgs...

Have said many times now. If we're going to get an upset, it's going to be early season. All the big boys have close games early in the season every year with teams who have no business being in the game.

Also, playing multiple SEC games early just sets you up better in terms of competition.

2-3 MACs in a row you learn nothing. It's just false hope against lesser competition and it really sets us off on the wrong foot. We either need to get a shot at a big dog for and early season upset or get smacked by one to wake everyone up. Find out who needs to play, how much, when, where...if at all. Everyone looks good against MAC.

I don't want to find out players can't play in middle of the season when it's too late.

Yes exact same schedule other than Toledo, E Mich, and Tenn Tech. Somehow we need to find three SEC victories to make it to 6-6. Not sure I see where those wins might come from.

3-9 Maybe 4-8, the home schedule is just as tough or tougher than the away games. Also, all the SEC teams we play had better recruiting classes than we did except Vandy and it's on the road. I don't see how our defense can be any better than we were supposed to be this year, no matter who transfers in.

I don't see us winning an SEC game this year. Maybe Vandy, because I don't know what their roster is going to look like. But unless we beat Vandy and get an upset, I say 3-9 is the bottom and 5-7 is the ceiling.

Stoops is due to win a sec home game. Maybe ole miss?

That sec home losing streak is embarrassing.

Yea, he is due, but Kentucky kept Ole Miss from going to the post season and they want to let us know it next year. That game will be circled on their schedule. I'm thinking maybe we can beat Florida since it's a November game, hoping for real cold weather that game. They do not like coming to Lexington in November.

Optimistic - Everything goes right, ball bounces our way, 6-6
More likely - Meaning losing the games we are suppose to and losing a couple "close to / winnable", 5-7

Wins : Toledo, E. Michigan, Vandy (I know, I know), S. Miss

Maybes, but not likely : Florida, Ole Miss (Hey we won there last year), Auburn, Louisville (rival, maybe we pull it off, have worse teams that won).

Sure losses : @ SC, UT, Texas, @ Georgia - 0% chance of winning these 4. The rest, stranger things have happened. (@ Ole Miss last year, and beating UL as 28 point dogs @ UL for example.

MUST win the Vandy game to have any shot, we are the underdog and the hunter this year. MAYBE a couple teams take us lightly and not play their B/C game.

Let me help you out. The other sec teams are gonna have better players and/or a better coach. Doesn't bode well.

Source: decades of sec history.
Probably so for the most part, but I've seen several recent years where lots here predicted 4 to 6 wins and it ends up being 7 to 10. I'll at least wait and see who's on what team.
