Special thanks to our players and coaches for all of their efforts in making this year another one to remember. Although the team obviously didn't reach their ultimate goal, it was a pleasure watching them blossom into one of the best teams in the country. Throughout all of the ups and downs, they showed nothing but class (on AND off the court). If I could send a message to each of our outgoing players, it would go something like this:
Fox - you played like a monster from day 1 (which is a rarity in today's world). We will truly miss your blazing speed, mid range jumper, positive energy and calm demeanor. Thank you.
Monk - your ability to score is sub-human. Your defense improved greatly and your smile signaled that things were about to get crazy! Dunk all over everyone in the league! Thank you.
Bam - you always kept your cool and your defense improved greatly as the year went on. You had some dunks that made us all scream! Thank you.
Briscoe - all of us were thrilled when you announced your return! Your free throw shooting got much better and your driving ability and leadership this year were crucial to many of our wins. Thank you.
Willis - you made strides this year and your defense and rebounding at the end of the year were miraculous! You will always be a local legend. Thank you.
Hawk - you rock! Your infectious smile and high energy will truly be missed. From everything I've heard, you are a great person and we all know that you are a respectable player. Thank you.
Mulder - you would've been a starter at most d1 programs. We will truly miss your shooting ability and energy! Thank you.
You guys will always be remembered in a positive light. You are our brothers, and no matter what happens, we wish you all nothing but the best of luck - go on and make us proud!!!!!!
