2 UL football players reportedly shot

Please take this down. It a morbid thing to continue to put this up.

Vouching for a head case serving life as a habitual criminal because he was the #1 recruit in the nation coming out, and the over dose of a cheerleader in a players room not reported for months, Uzi toting criminals, taking in transfers (AND hiring and keeping coaches proven to be not worthy of leading young men), making a joke of the APR ratings, hiring and paying underage prostitutes to seduce teenage young men (and their parents) to get them to commit, etc, etc, these and probably many other things NOT reported are pretty morbid also------and thanks to people like you they are usually just soon forgotten.

I just read the story about the linebacker that played in 06 or so that had a armed robbery so no one but Transfer U would take him, coincidentally good enough to be in the NFL a couple of years, convicted in 14 or so for four or five armed robberies IN LOUISVILLE, look for more of this to come out down the road. I'm sure their players are well taken care of until they are no longer useful. I thought it was odd that his bail for one of the armed robberies was only $5,000 according to the article.

Look for more and more of their pigeons to come home to roost when their players find out their college degrees can't support their life style------which probably isn't a very healthy one in lots of cases.

All of those known happenings and many others are pretty morbid also, and they have been mostly covered up and forgotten. No, keep this alive forever if possible. crime isn't supposed to pay------and some of these coverups are criminal, probably including this shooting "incident" and a lot of the financial shenanigans that have gone on at City College.

No, time to stop sticking your head in the sand and saying "Just win baby".

We need Joe Kenda on the case.

Yeah, I watch him too, but the LMPD probably couldn't match his salary, Hollywood is overpaid almost as badly as football coaches at the high end, LOL.

But the shows that bother me the most are the ones that have the DA's fighting tooth and nail against overturning their conviction when new evidence shows their man was obviously innocent, a lot of those from the new DNA evidence.

The worst miscarriage of justice I can remember is the Dallas DA that never ever lost a case framing the man from Cleveland, sending him to death row for eight years, chain gang for six more, before the habitual criminal he set free murdered someone else and said enough to set the man free.

No, no, that wasn't the worst miscarriage of justice, the worst was the Texas Bar Association deciding when he was brought before them for unethical behavior in the case that he didn't do anything wrong, a very powerful and influential man by then.

Adams vs Texas, a very powerful book, should be required reading for everyone, especially lawyers. Some of them might even be able to use it to advance their careers.

Go Cats!! Anyway, I think that's what this is about. No?

No, actually if you have been following the thread, it has been about cheating and coverups, using your position and influence to thwart justice, probably some criminal misconduct, what some "winners" will do to win, whether in an athletic arena or in the courts, etc etc, so the post wasn't really that much out of line with the thread, which hasn't had a lot to do with football.

I may still be a little naive after all these years, but I still think a lot of these things are going to come out sooner or later, and a lot of it to the detriment of the citizens of Louisville. Things like the armed robberies of their citizens by the player that had already committed an armed robbery before they brought him in------but then he was good enough to make the NFL for a couple of years, so what the hell. And then there is Willie, that someone is paying to house and feed for a lifetilme that jurich researched extensively and couldn't find any potential problems. And since one of the players that got shot didn't qualify except under some extenuating and unusual circumstances, ie last minute and to Transfer U and not honoring his UK commitment (or not qualifying for a State University) it sounds like he may not be your ideal student athlete to start with------unlike Jarmon, that the NCAA suspended for the full year------but then, who knows, their "tutoring service" may have had him on the "honor roll" like most of their players------a lot of them kicked ;out of other schools..

You do have to wonder if a lot of their fans aren't a little puckered up about the new NCAA that sort of threw the book at ND for what they thought were minor offenses, the renewed investigation at Ole Miss, etc, etc, makes you wonder if the paid prostitutes might not make them look into hurtt's magical recruitlng when they were so embarrassed by their own ineptitude at the time they just wanted to crawl in a hole and hide. That was ;one of his recruiting tools at the U, you know, maybe he gave the basketball program a few tips.

^ And this is relevant to UK football just how? Belongs on The Paddock. Go Cats!!

It's relevant because the program down the road, who we play every year, is cheating their ass off and covering up multiple felonies in order to maintain an advantage. In the process, criminals are allowed to walk the street (and possibly the campus) posing a danger to everyone.

And I still maintain that all their coverups are a huge advantage in signing some of the athletes they attract, a lot of whom haven't had any big problems before being recruited------yet-----because they have had "help" before or have just been lucky. And then there are all the other transfers they hunt down that have had problems, ------until they get under jurich's umbrella. A lot of them great players butt not noted scholar athletes, like Willie, the #1 prospect in the country, that originally signed with the U, a school similar to Transfer U, with a Super Man body and a two bit brain, he could be eating lobster tails every night instead of the occasional ones jurich sends him in prison-------that is unless jurich welched on the deal Highly probable.

And no, I don't think every player they sign is a bad guy, some aren't, but I am not sure why those players would want to go play with some of the transfers they bring in. OR the coaches they play for. I guess some of their policies do provide advantages in the "Just 'Win Baby" contest which seems to be the most important thing in the world today------to an increasing number of fans, alas..

I always thought the #1 RB in the country out of high school that signed with Thug U (about the time of the EIGHT thugs atrocity) showed some good judgement when he transferred out the first year, saying he just didn't fit in with the team------probably not a thug. But then he did accept some "gifts", on his weekend visit, when he told the coaches he didn't even want to talk to them, he wanted to "hang out" with his "Orange Pride" escort all the time------and they let him.

No inside info, just things I have read in the newspapers, but I would think they wouldn't dare publish stories like that unless they were true.

Read the article again and missed something. That apartment is gated. One would think that people can't just show up and get in without knowing someone. Idk how I missed that place being gated before.... should have some security cameras too if they went through the expense of a fence and gate.

That makes the cheese even more bindmg, doesn't it. Really hard to explain this level of incompetence by the LMPD, unless-------

Just re-read the "gated" part myself.

A quote in the story says not just everyone gets in, and then comments on folks bringing people in with them. Sooooooo, either the perp was known by security, or was in a vehicle with someone known to security. Since no one died, the driver of the perp ought to know who the perp was.

A strange story, that gets stranger with the deafening silence of LMPD.

Maybe it was the same brand of security cameras that were used in Minardi Hall?

I think they must be very popular, or at least very cheap, must have been the same ones used for the eight thugs assaulting the lone men twice at the Knoxville night club, with a selective cover charge. But in Knoxville the time lapse between the OIC confiscating them immediately and coming back the next morning for them was probably the real problem. I bet the OIC flunked Elementary Crime Scene Investigation, but maybe the LMPD never heard of it, it doesn't sound like they even came back for it the next day. Or if they did, jurich beat them to it.

Lots of weird things happening both places.

In case that "wonder" was not rhetorical: No.

OK. If you say so. After all, you are one of their fans, I would never sink that low.

But the ND fans seemed awfully surprised and upset about the punishment they got for what they considered minor infractions. And there weren't any prostitutes involved, like at your city college, although they were also hired at the U when your NROTY was there, coincidence? But then the incompetent NCAA screwed that up so bad they didn't even want to look into the "amazing" recruiting he did at Transfer U.

Then I don't think Thug U actually paid the "Orange Pride", although there was some question about who paid for the gas for the 350 mile round trip they made to South Carolina to watch some teenagers play a football game, and I think their leader was a 22 year old WOMAN. But then the NCAA did make them "disband" them, at least officially.

A lot of Ole Miss fans also seem quite a bit surprised and upset by the new NCAA, how long ago was it that they screwed up the U investigation so badly that they just wanted to run and hide? I still think they could have been a little upset with jurich telling them to kiss off by keeping hurtt on staff, but when you have coaches that misuse public funds, commit adultery with a lot of publicity, and some that PAY for abortions to try to cover their tracks, among other things, that was no surprise. Of course there is a good chance that jurich had no choice, similar to Strong not being able to take the Thug U job unless he was able to take hurtt with him. Seems like he would have been a lot better off staying in the territory he was familiar with, and besides they were a better fit, they cheat like crazy too. Seems like Jones had no big problems bringing in top classes there without hurtt.

By the way, did ;you happen to find out why Strong was going to testify in your regent's divorce case, which was avoided because they settled ;out of court? Wonder if jurich threw in a little incentive to avoid that embarrassment. You may have to change your name from Transfer U to Adultery U.

The thing about your program is the "wonders" never seem to cease, now a shooting in a crowded party with UL athletes involved and nobody saw a thing, nobody let them in, the cameras showed nothing, and the police are baffled. LOL

Sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction, like the amazing scholastic achievements that earned BP that $500,000 reward for his work as a scholar, not bad when you consider all the transfer and players kicked out of other schools, and players like the one shot that couldn't qualify for a State University.

EIGHT FIVE days now, and three days since it was mentioned on here, probably the last place on earth trying to keep it alive.

I don't go on the Card board (well, sure I couldn't anyway) but if you google the recent armed robbery spree by one of their stars probably responsible for one of their biggest bowl wins there are a lot of comments about him on their board.

The funny thing is that NONE of them mention the most striking thing about that player being at Transfer U--------HE ALREADY HAD AN ARMED ROBBERY BEFORE THEY SIGNED HIM. The fourth rated LB in his class, whose dream was to play for the U, but even that sorry program wouldn't accept him. Sure, it did take quite a while for this leopard to resort to his spots, but it is hard to get in trouble in Louisville as long as you are a productive member of UL sports programs, AND under jurich's wing.

Below is a story about part of his rampage, the weird thing is he was released on $5,000 bond once, AND was put on six months probation after MULTIPLE armed robberies, maybe jurich has even more influence than we thought, along with a lot of their win at all costs fans.

An armed robbery with a gun is an invitation to disaster, I have read that you should never pull a gun unless you are prepared to use it. One example of this is the Korean woman facing murder charges when the armed robber turned his back and she took the opportunity to shoot him in the back, probably fearing she might not have another chance.

Sure, not a lot of reasons to revert to your criminal past as long as you are a hero, and hard to get caught with jurich at Louisville, but there are a lot more of these pigeons that will probably come to roost in a few years.

But then he was a big contributor to one of their biggest seasons that got them started, just win baby.

Long, but a copy of one of the whole news stories.about this crime spree:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
A former University of Louisville football star is in trouble with the law again.

Nathaniel Harris pleaded guilty last year to a string of robberies.

Now, he's accused of committing four more holdups.

Harris was sentenced to 20 years in March 2015, but eight months later he was released from prison on shock probation.

Harris faced a judge again Thursday.

In 2006, the former Cardinal grabbed headlines leading UofL in tackles.

In 2014, he was accused of seven robberies in three days.

Now, Jeffersontown police say he held up four motels in their community in just over a one month period. A Microtel located on Kentucky Mills Drive was robbed on July 26.

On July 31, he accused of taking cash at the Quality Inn also located on Kentucky Mills Drive.

On Aug. 22, investigators said he held up a Red Carpet Inn on Hurstbourne Parkway and on the same day a couple of hours later, he's accused of hitting the Days Inn less than a mile away on Blairwood Road.

An assistant county attorney requested a high bond.

“He has got multiple felony convictions for the robbery. The same type of offenses. He is currently on shock probation. He was shock probated in the last year,” prosecutor Kristin Southern said.

The prosecutor said Harris may face another robbery charge in Shelbyville and added he's a danger to the community.

Harris’ bond is $50,000 full cash with no bail credit.

In 2014, Harris used a gun in his string of robberies.

Some of the same places he held up in 2014 were hit again this time around.

End of CJ story.

Hmmmm.

He was a star at U of L, and hits the same motels he has been convicted of hitting in the past, a matter of what, 4 or 5 miles from campus?

My guess is that he had lots of tutoring help to stay eligible while playing the game.

Nah not "walking", Petrino & Jurich have made th shooter/player do lots of early morning running as punishment. Worst kept secret in town that the gunman/gunmen are football players himself/themselves. Hence the silence and no snitching to po po.

This thread is embarrassing to have run this long as a statement towards proving how fixated many of our fans are on UL's activities.

A whole collection of UK Zipps.

What's embarrassing is that we have to play the shitshow that the UaVel athletics department is. BTW, kudos to you for bumping it back to the top.

There's no doubt about it now. The shooter is another UaVel football player or athlete. It's the only conclusion you can come to when something like this happens inside a gated complex and no one can identify the shooter.

Absolutely... I think this is the truth.

But the case is still unsolved. The Louisville police must be held accountable. Hell they haven't even solved the assault on Chris Jones and that happened in front of 40,000 witnesses.

Three years and his family still doesn't have justice. R.I.P CJ
