2 even teams going at it!!!!

Is this your approach to any positive post? You just can't allow it to be said. Must be misery. If I were you and in constant misery, I'd just find another team to support. But in the meantime, you live up to your namesake very well. 👍
The sad part is he has plenty of company.

Maybe. Who knows. UK has survived Rupp leaving, survived Hall, Pitino leaving. I think we‘ll make it through Cal leaving.
How did we survive Tubby leaving? We have the same AD. And Cal didn't get the job and a NC because of our AD, we got him in spite of our AD. The same as with all of our good hires, they all volunteered for the job when no one else wanted it. Brooks took the job when he and our AD couldn't find anyone else that wanted it. Joker ruined his HC career because he took the job with TWO four stars competing against teams like Florida that had about sixty FOUR and FIVE stars on their roster, Stoops campaigned for the job after the flood of money from the OTHER ADs that saw what the money cow was and after we lost hundreds of millions because our SMART faculty had no input from our AD about the coming money cow. An excellent political move, but disastrous for our football program AND optimizing our money from the money cow.

And yes, UK has halfway survived our hiring of the least far sighted AD in history, thanks to the OTHER SEC ADs AND the popularity of football. And it looks like we are headed that direction again, how much of the hundreds of millions that the OTHER ADs that supported football made available through the SEC distribution (DUE to FOOTBALL) have we spent on facilities since the flood of money from the MONEY COW started? And the hundreds of millions we will get from the MONEY cow had no help from our AD. A&M spent $400 million on their 100,000 seat stadium (back when a dollar was worth a dollar) while we spent $180 million (A third of it to bribe academics) while reducing the MONEY COWs seating capacity to less seating than anyone in the SEC except that SEC power, Vandy.

End of rant, but you should get the point. Or maybe not, considering our history.

In 2009 Syracuse lost to a DII school and ended up a 1 seed. A few years ago Duke won an exhibition by like six. They mean literally zero, anyone trying to take any negatives away from a game like this is foolish.
Not a problem, if it wasn't this it would be something else for some of our fans to cry about.

How well did we survive Tubby leaving? You seem to have omitted the fun times after Tubby was run off. Don't we have the same AD?

Cal is welcome to debunk it any time. Weird that he doesn't, tho
Looks to me like he did about all he could by hitting the road several dozen times to recruit this top recruiting class. And business trips aren't a lot of fun no matter how great the accommodations are, and I know that from experience.

Ever since 2015 Cal’s butt puckers up tighter than a ticks ass. Our teams used to play loose and they knew they were better. We had a couple teams like that since then with 2017 being the best example of playing fast and free but the last 3 years… ugh.
What is your current occupation, the study of tick's asses?

How well did we survive Rupp leaving? Sutton leaving after the death penalty?
We didn't have the same AD then. Although it does look like it is a lifetime job now, NONE of our present prosperity is due to our FIVE years without a bowl game, OR our TWO two win seasons.

You know? I understand the frustration with recent seasons, I really do. I don't expect everyone to just put on a fake face and act like everything is great. That's nonsense. But do we have to constantly look like we're sucking a lemon or something? Can we note something that looks good when it actually is?

I'll just tell you, I've been a UK basketball fan since Kyle Macy was playing and I will always be. But I can't for the life of me figure out an obsession for negativity. As they say, it's seems some would complain if they were hung with a new rope.

I'm completely serious, though, and I almost feel sorry for folks like that, if it weren't for the fact that they create their own misery. I would just give up supporting the team or I'd find another pastime. People make their own misery and then they try to give it to me. Well, I'm not gonna take it.

How many of the hundreds of the competition (including several brazen chanters) did win the title?
Apparently some people can't understand responses unless they have a chart drawn for them. You're not worth the time.

I'm sure Cal is having a horrible time, what with making $9M a year and all. Maybe if he's so miserable he can quit.

We survived Pitino leaving? Until when?
Right. Kentucky has never been anything without Cal lol.
We weren’t relevant for a good clip before him. If you want to go back 30 years, be my guest. I clearly remember the Tubby and Billy years. We were the laughing stock of bluebloods, if you could even call us that during those times.

The only bluebloods at the time was uconn Duke unc. Even ucla was better than Kentucky, and Kansas. And that was the time iu lost its blueblood card.

Even as bad as we were during the Tubby and Billy years, Kentucky did not lose its Blueblood status. We had just won two (should have been three) titles.

They wasn't blueblood from 06-09. Just like we lost the status for the past 3 years. These are and have been the tubby type years since 2018.

It’s funny you mention this. We are getting “Tubby/Billy results” right now and are probably the laughing stock of the blue bloods.

But yeah, the next coach could never….

🤦🏻‍♂️

Guys, just stop.

The calculus AD made is that if we can field 6-7 wins EVERY year and occasionally win 9-10 then the ad dollars are in and asses are in seats.

The calculus is different at Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, etc.

Give us a half season of hope and a bowl game and the money is basically identically to a playoff berth.

If that doesn’t change the AD won’t either
