    K definitely had a lot of busts. But I think for him those were more about him doing less with more. He didn’t seem to lose too many recruiting battles at the height of his career. I agree about 2017.

    Very low chance we’ll replace what Reed could have been year 2. But pretty decent chance we can replace what Cal got out of Reed. I still believe Pope will come into his own as a recruiter here. Pitino had to wait a year to bring in Mashburn.

    2011 went nearly as far as 2014 and 2015 was pretty memorable. We just only had one year when Cal closed the deal at the highest level, thanks to Lebron James’s personally hand-picked on-court successor and an NBA lockout.
