Yes, we've got a lot of capable ball handlers and passers (one of the things pro scouts rave about with Vanderbilt). Quade will be our floor general, though, he's very active and talkative out there, other players instinctively follow his lead.
Vando has point forward skills that the league covets. If he shows any sort of jumper at all and that he can stay healthy he will be a top level pick. I believe someone on here yesterday said that he was the top or one of the top players in this class before his first foot injury, then dropped...
Katina just got off better than she did in the good ol' days with Chane.
Go back out there and work it some more, girl! Get the Cards football team on probation while you're at it, we know Petrino would love to have one of your girls take a ride on his hog!
Green, easily. Tough small guard from a tough city that other players flock to and follow his lead. That type has done okay here before if memory serves correctly.
Not even close to being his worst class.
May not be a superstar in the bunch (though I think Knox will be, and Diallo could be), but I love the depth, size, length, rebounding and defensive abilities, and diverse talent this group provides.
We'll be young, but a lot of our guys have the rep of being great defenders. Their insane length and athleticism will go a long way to make up for their youth and inexperience. There's a ton of different combinations and lineups Cal can throw out there defensively that will give opposing teams...
To start the season, I'll go with:
Green
Diallo
Knox
Gabriel
Richards
This will be Cal's best rebounding team here. Absurd length at every position. Quality depth. Two great passing and rebounding forwards that can do a little bit of everything (Washington and Vanderbilt). Two wings that can...
I was critical of the whole deal after he declared he was testing the waters-- while still contending that he had a right to do so, especially if his family was in desperate need, just wish there had been a little more transparency from the beginning. I gladly eat my crow right alongside you.
Yep, as a fan I've been critical of this deal but there's no doubt Cal loves his players and will run through a brick wall for them. Proud he represents our program and our state.
To drag it out like this I would think so, but who knows. I don't exactly think that consideration for the fans is a top priority during the process for many of these guys. Just the way it is.
I predict the Diallo decision will be announced sometime between 8:00 and 8:30 EST.
So, expect an announcement in the next 5 minutes, or no announcement at all.
Was Diallo ever scheduled to workout with the Knicks today? I thought that his workout with the Nets last week was the last one for him before the deadline?
