I had some choice words for Pitino when he was coaching UL, but I’ve let things go. His support for coach Pope kinda softened me up a little. It’s better to not hold grudges.
What I read:
It’s a five-year deal worth $5.5 million per season, before incentives, according to CBS Sports’ Matt Norlander.
I wonder what the incentives are and could bring the total to?
I don’t understand. He released a statement saying he’s committed to Alabama. You guys saying if he was offered enough money he would leave despite the statement?
I agree with you Richie. I’m not holding a grudge at all. Donovan would be my first choice too. I’m just not sure he wants to be here. Maybe he does now. You make a fair point.
First, I want somebody who wants to be here. Donovan has rejected us twice already, and it seems like possibly a third time now. Hurley said no. Who else is there?
I’ll support him. He did win a championship at Baylor of all places, he’s bound to be a better x and o’s coach than Cal, and he’s no slouch as a recruiter. Give him a chance. Also, Go Cats!!
Probably canceled because it’s not official. Cal could tell them anything in his own home. Pretty sure someone like the AD has to be there, and it has to be in a neutral setting. Not positive, but I think I read this somewhere.
