    The new normal

It's seems like some on this board think it's back to 1990s college basketball since we hired Pope. - One and done is still a thing, don't think UK won't still have those (exhibit a: Reed Sheppard) - Transfer Portal is still a thing, guys will leave or be recruited over We might not have a...

Why are so many so gloom and doom about not getting top 10 recruits to fill our roster?

I think Cal probably could have made a lot more noise with those freshmen had he actually had Pope's coaching skill. Instead his entire system was "go make a play".

    ULIS

Honestly I'd make a pitch to Wagner as well if he's sticking around college. I know it would be a longshot but Pope's coaching has me questioning what else we could have seen out of some of the guys last year outside of the obvious Z and Reed.

    ULIS

You know who would have been a great fit for Pope's offense? Tyler Ulis. I mean that's kind of cheating I don't see a system that Ulis wouldn't have been a benefit to.

Be ready for “conveniently timed” Calipari events tomorrow (or soon)

People were reporting what Tubby did at Minnesota and High Point and what Pitino did in Greece. We even got updates on Gillispie. There is absolutely no way this board won't dwell on Cal, especially while he's in the SEC.

    Pope trying to visit McNeely

We've always had that. Recruiting wasn't always a guarantee here, even with those advantages. See the last half of the 2000s as proof. Certainly doesn't hurt though.

    Pope's Staff

The big twist at the end of this is that Brad Calipari is coming back as an assistant and that's why Cal's still in Lexington.

    Cals in lexington today

Cal hasn't really been known for his tireless work ethic lately. He just needs to retire.

    BEGOK is now FEBUK

BEGOK sounds like something Louisville fans would come up with. And it's even pretty bad by their standards.

Lets see if we know ESPN like I think we do

ESPN has a pretty big contract with the SEC and they have absolutely no reason to hate their biggest CBB ratings winner.

    Cals in lexington today

Oh Cal's hiring was every bit as insane. College basketball was legitimately terrified he was going to break the system and in a way he did. From 2010-2015 Cal could do no wrong and the fans loved him.

What two players from 2012 were in Rupp today?

I don't think you're going to find very many who will argue that point around here.

What two players from 2012 were in Rupp today?

Keeping MKG in the loop around here would be a huge bridge to the other Cal guys. He's right up there with Wagner, Ulis and Wall as one of Cal's favorites.

    Cals in lexington today

I 100% believe he regrets what he's done already. Just like Pitino, and a heck of a lot faster than Pitino. There is no way you go from being what he was in this state during the 2010s to Arkansas and not think you made a huge mistake. Pope's grand slam press conference really probably just...

Be ready for “conveniently timed” Calipari events tomorrow (or soon)

If so, it'll just be some kind of portal pickup or announcing one or more of our guys are going to Arkansas. You know, what everybody completely expects.

    Quantaince visiting Louisville

I don't know if any coach in America wouldn't want the guaranteed 2 year potential he brings. Pope didn't have a chance at guys like this at BYU. His offensive system requires picks and driving, it's not all just 5 guys jacking up threes. And he has the kind of athleticism to play full court...

In Case Any Of Calipari’s Players Pop By Here . . .

They'll be loyal to Cal, and honestly they should be as he was very loyal to them. But think about it, how much did we see his Memphis guys or celebrate them at all? The same thing will happen at Arkansas with the UK guys. After a few years we'll start seeing them as the Y every now and then...
