    Reed declares

He will make more the first year than most people make in a lifetime. Would of been a stupid decision to not help generations of his offspring.

    Reed declares

Don't blame the kid. The only other outcome he had was to come back and drop in the draft. It would of been hard to replicate the season that he had. Thanks for giving us a great year .

    Jones update on roster construction

Based on the ovation he received at the press conference he is liked a whole lot more by the general public than he is by the people posting on Rafters. I don't listen to him, but find it comical how much he lives in people's heads on here.

Dan Patrick on Kentucky and Cal

Agree. Anthony Edwards went to Georgia, was picked number 1, and he's one of the best players in the league..

Cal Will Win Big Next Year at Ark

The game changed and Cals ego forced him to not change with it. Offense philosophy changed, COVID happened, portal, and now NIL. Eighteen year old super talented players worked when it was eighteen year olds against 22 year olds. Now we have 25 year old men playing college basketball. My...

    The longer we go…

Exactly. You might every five years or so years want to add a BYU portal kid to the roster, but I could never see a scenario to bring multiple BYU players out of the portal in one year. If that's the case you are probably not playing for a championship.

    Cals in lexington today

Cal did the university and basketball team a favor by leaving on his own accord.

Big Z Meeting with Pope Monday!!

Reed is a much better athlete than people give him credit for. NBA scouts wouldn't be giving a 6'3" white kid a look unless they didn't see that. Perry is a great basketball player, but not the explosive athlete that Reed is.. Trent Noah also needs to come here. A mountain Kentucky kid who is...

    The Inevitable on Reed Sheppard

All of Matt Jones enemies must be on Rupp rafters. The crowd gave him a similar ovation to former players. I don't listen to him, but he's a more popular than his few haters on him give him credit for..

I think we can all agree Mark 'won the press conference' as they say

Cal did us a big favor by not making Mitch fire him. Financially it would of been better for him to be fired than leave on his own .

    The Inevitable on Reed Sheppard

I would love him back, but he's putting future generations of his family in jeopardy if he doesn't recreate something close that he did this year. He's a lottery pick right now. If he drops down to the high thirties or low forties on three point makes he might be late first round or worse. I...

If Pope wants to kill it on the recruiting trail, there's one man to turn to...

I remember going to the crazy ex-Kentucky players vs. the Dominicans. I think a young Karl Anthony Towns was actually on one of the benches at the time. Lots of NBA talent on the floor. I remember Wall being really fast, but the best player on the floor to me was Rondo. It was like he was...

    Trent Noah

Rumor is his family is huge UK fans. Cal just couldn't seem to grasp these situations. In state P5 level players should be recruited. He usually didn't use all of the available scholarships anyway.

    Trent Noah

Will Pope try and get him to decommit from South Carolina?

    Vocal minority?

I'm 100% behind him. I thought we could do better and overpaid him based on resume , but this is who Mitch wanted. I hope it works out. He's a Kentucky guy and can't help but hope he succeeds.

    Star System (New Coach)

After COVID and the transfer portal it made it much harder to win with young teams. Cal didn't adapt and lost too many players that had no reason to leave after one year. It became really difficult for him to win playing 18 and 19 year olds against free agents that were 23 and 24 years old. He...

For those of you who hate the hire...

We could of hired Pope next week after other much more successful coaches turned us down. Pope didn't even really improve the product at BYU compared to his predecessor. He may be great and I hope he is. To make it even worse is that we overpaid the guy to come here. We more than doubled his...

    Living Down To Our Reputation

Michigan football went through four coaches before they went out and spent the money on one good enough to win a national title. I hope this works out. I would really like to see Pope make it here, but we went for a cheap coach and then overpaid him by at least one million a year. Maybe it...

    Reed tidbit via MJ

That's my biggest worry. Reed shot 52.1 % from three this year. That would be hard to replicate and if he for some reason struggles shooting the ball he might drop out of the first round. Take the sure money and take care of generations of your kids and grandkids.

    Sneaky good hire by UK…

That's not a temper tantrum, just facts. BYU was already winning before Pope got there. The Drew guy did build a program, but Pope inherited a winner.
