    I'm in

As I said in an earlier post, I have followed KY BB since 1957 and I was done until Cal was gone. I meant every word!!! I'm back. Mark Pope will have to prove he is worthy of this position, but he already has a lot going for him. He's smart, a good x&o's coach and I think he will bring the BBN...

    This ain't over yet

No, but I won't waste my time on KY, while he's still here! I'm almost 84 years old and I've been a rabid fan since 1957 and I'm done until he's gone!!!

Tyler's KSR post summed it up on how I feel!

Check out KSR's post on "All good things must end, even John Calapari and Kentucky"

Tyler's KSR post summed it up on how I feel!

She hit the nail on the head about everything, except I've been at this since 1957. Tubby's last years were frustrating, but nothing like now.

Signing off and out until Cal is gone. Thanks to all.

I agree with your view completely. I've been a fan since 1957 and I'm done until Cal is gone!!!! It can't happen too soon!

    The age old question ...again

My experience too! I love YTTV. If there's anything better I haven't heard about it.

Edwards will still be 1st round pick

Sorry, but from what I've seen thus far I don't see a breakthrough. This is not AAU ball! I really hope you are right and I am wrong, I'd love some CROW!

    What UK loss shattered you?

Those two, plus the loss to Wisconsin to break our 40-0 possibility. The 66 loss to Texas Western was my worst, as I really loved the Runts!!!

I Just Came Back From Watching Travis Perry and Boogie Fland in The City Of Palms Tournament

I agree about FL being a bass fisherman's paradise. I caught a 9lb 5 oz on Lake Panasoffkee and my largest , an 11 lb on Okeechobee. Fishing and KY BB are my greatest pleasures.

    Something we don't talk about

I started listening to KY BB in 1957. The 66 Runts are my all time favorite team! It broke my heart when they lost to Texas Western in the finals and later became the whipping boy team because they were all white. Name a team south of the Mason Dixon line that wasn't at the time!! Listening to...

    Reed Sheppard/MikeCasey

Casey was the best player at Ky as a sophomore. Better than Issel or Pratt. However, Issel was the best of the three as Juniors and Seniors. Casey was a hell of a player! I have no doubt if that wreck had not occurred we would have another Championship.

    If you attended UK

I attended UK in 58-59 and they were 24-3. Probably the most exciting game I saw was The Maryland game. We were behind by 3points with 3 seconds to go and Rupp called a timeout and instructed one of the guards to drive and get fouled. He did, we tied the game and in overtime we won! Talk about...

Who's the best big man you ever saw

I was at that game. He was incredible! We still won going away!

    Congratulations Morehead State

I'm a Morehead grad too! 1962 . Anyone out there earlier? My freshman year was at UK.

Dan ISSEL…just how good was he?

I was at that game. Issel was fouled out on an offensive foul at about midcourt. Dan was/is the best basketball player I have ever seen in a UK uniform!!! Mike casey was the best on his freshman team, but from Soph forward Dan got better almost every game. They played Pistol Pete 6 times and...

    Share your Cawood story.

I listened to Caywood from 1957 onward missing a few while serving in the Army. He was the best I've ever heard! His descriptions of the game were like being there. You could tell if they were playing well or not so good, as Caywood made words draw the picture. Again he was the BEST.
