    Yea I like this... make it like the NBA without the draft portion. Only small issue is they still will be going to the highest bidder for NIL $$$. But at least this contract with the school will forbid them from leaving without paying a portion back.

    I'm fine keeping Orlando as long as he isn't using us for that retention bonus. I did like that he was challenging Cal mid-game you could see them getting into it. Perhaps O always saw the same things we did and was unable to get Cal to change.

    It's too late in the process really to get good freshman recruits. But I still think he has plenty of chances to draw attention from transfers. Money and playing time is huge motivator for recruits needing a new home.

    I know I'm contradicting the thread just a tiny bit but yes NIL money will bring in the talent. But I'll take a good X and O coach over just a glorified recruiter any day in 2024.
