    Calipari now has the lowest title per season ratio of any our championship coaches. Tied with Hall if you don’t count the COVID season. Will he go down as our 5th best coach, behind Tubby and Joe B?

    Regardless, we just blew the easiest road to an NC we will ever see in our lifetime.

    We were an 8 seed in 2014 and a 4 seed in 2011. Brackets didn’t break our way and we still made final fours. There was a time under Cal when we felt like title contenders no matter the seed, now even our 2 seed teams in the last two tournaments were disappointing.

    You forgot about us losing a very tight game in the elite 8. The Cal defenders come back out full force saying “Oh well, it’s a crapshoot!!! Swaggy Cal is back!!” Cal acts like he’s leaving for the Lakers, Mitch gives Calipari a 100 million dollar buyout.

    When he leaves he will have been here more years than Tubby, Pitino, or Coach Hall. If he only has the same amount of titles to show for it despite more time, hard to say his legacy here will be above any of theirs. That said, 1 title is still a great career for most coaches.
