Most of the big name coaches whose names have been tossed around for Ky makes me wonder if that is who Ky really needs. Put it this way, we need someone who is "climbing the mountain", not someone who has reached its peak, celebrated getting there and now on his way down,JMO. What do you think?

Donovan is an ultimate pro. He’s coached at the highest level. Billy is relatively young. He can attract top assistants. He has experience in college and professional basketball. He knows Kentucky’s culture. He was a very good recruiter.
The portal will close, but the players in the portal can stay in the portal. Billy always ran a clean program. There are tons of good players in the portal, so Donovan can still get good players. I think The Shepard’s will trust Billy with their son if he doesn’t go into the draft.
Basketball coaches with Donovan’s experience and pedigree is rare. UK has a whole NIL department, and can get Billy up to speed.

Don’t shoot the messenger and you don’t have to believe it. Just saying it sounds to me like he’s been offered the job if this is reported. Guess Mitch will wait it out for a couple days to see what Drew decides.

No one really knows anything for certain, but...

Mark Pope gets it and if you are a real fan you are now proud of this jersey. It’s time to support Coach Pope because he is one of us. Pope knows what it takes to win Championships because he did. He is from the Pitino coaching tree and understands that UK fans have the highest expectations in basketball. Best of luck Coach Pope and Go Big Blue.
