You are given the option to take 10 half court shots. If you make 1 of them you win $10 million, but if you can't make any you have to go to a minimum security prison from Sept 1st - Dec 31st (3 months). It would happen at the end of August to allow some time to practice. Give it a shot or pass?

You would essentially get 3 months to practice before attempting this challenge.

I would absolutely take on this challenge. Might pitch this to a tv station and do it live. If I hit it, give me the 10 mill on the spot, if I miss it put me in cuffs and escort me out and then film a reality tv show about me from jail.

Clay Travis posed this challenge. The dude is a complete tool, but I thought this was entertaining.

Nobody is going to give you $10 million for a half court shot. Maybe a million.

I'd possibly miss Christmas with the kids, so my answer is 'no', unless that camera crew is staying with me 24/7 to discourage harm to my person.

Not even nervous. Minimum security prison is like going to a retirement community in Florida, except you can't leave the premises for 3 months.

It might actually be better than that.

I should've switched it to maximum security. My bad. Would make the challenge slightly more debatable. F it, your going to Guantanamo Bay if you can't hit one.

I definitely think 10 mil or minimum security would be worth the risk. Now change it to a serious prison and it would be a different story. Lots of things could happen in a supermax in 3 months. And I think you would only get 5 real chances. The worry about a supermax would cause the nerves to make tries 6-10 insignificant. Hell maybe tries 4-10 insignificant.

Good lord. Let's do a man's challenge. 100 shots to make one or the death penalty -- and not some sissy injection. Either the electric chair or beheading.

Hell yes! Prison aint shit. Minimum security is soft and supermax isolates you so nobody can get to you. If its only 3-4 months then its well worth the risk. Now, If the penalty was 3-4 months living with the inlaws...yikes!

If you a Kentucky fan you should be able to hit at least 50% from the standard charity stripe so how about this one. You get 2 shots to make a standard free throw, you win you get the cash $10M, you lose and you get you dick amputated. Who takes that one?

Have any of you ever been in a minimum security prison? It's laughable that you guys think they are easy and cushy.

BTW, federal "club feds" are not minimum security prisons they are considered less than minimum.

I had the gym to myself two weeks ago and started practicing half court shots. There is no effing way I'm taking that challenge, and you shouldn't either. Go try to knock down one out of ten half court shots with no pressure. Tell me how well you do.

Minimum security is the lowest level of classification in the Federal system. Minimum security inmates stay in "Camps" which have no fences and they live in open bay dorms with no controlled movement. The probability of getting ass raped or stabbed is almost non existant. When people say "club Fed" they are refering to minimum security Federal institutions.

Sort of. There are 2 different minimum security levels. One for camps (FPC) and one for prisons, (FCI). Same levels but two very different meanings.

My wife worked at the FCI in Ashland which is a low security FCI, which is the lowest security level for FCI, even lower than minimum. I was there several occasions and it definitely wasn't cushy. Ashland has an FPC as well.

I think he is saying he hit 4/21 for 19%....would love this bet to go down though.

So he is hitting 19%....has to hit 20% out of 5 to win the $500....its perfect

I will bet $500.00 that Spears can't hit one half court shot in five. He lives close. We could have him in a gym tonight. I will video the failure for the board. If he misses on the first five. We can go double or nothing on the next five. Which he will miss too.
Please do it. Thanks.

If he prefer we could give him six shots but shot #5 and #6 are a push if he hits either of those. That way he wouldn't have lost any of the four during his "gym" globetrotters display. We can leave that up to Pistol.

Looked up some for perspective. That's a long damn shot. As impressive as this gif is, he crossed the line. Most of the people who do them as a contest heave it. It's piss poor odds no matter how you try it.

Spear keeps track of how many 3s he has hit in a row at the local Y (and how many he has made without missing two in a row). Not really related, but I find that bizarre
